Is anyone like, upset after seeing them live?

Featured Replies

I had a massive case of the blues the minute I left the arena when they were playing in Australia, it just went by so fast I felt like I didn't have the time to take it all in.

Though I'm going to London in November, so I'm going to swing by the bakery, hopefully bump into someone who'll invite me in to meet the band, who'll invite me over to dinner where I will regail them with witty banter and then they'll hire me for some menial roadie task and then I'll get to go to every show on the next tour. I don't see how I can possibly fail.

anyone ever just get AMAZING seats (like front row), and think that this will be your best concert ever? And probably the best seats ever? But then it isn't? Cause thats how i kinda feel :(

It can def get better at some point but it won't be like that for every show after a front row one. You will end up remembering something from all shows that you really loved.

Angie hit it dead on though. You don't feel better until they are done touring and you are waiting around for a new album.

You'll see them in Latin America if they do concerts there ?

Yeah it's goingto be very sad, but we'll be waiting for their next album then, which means A NEW TOUR !

5 times is already huge, but I think that Angie saw they more than 30times :stunned:

Yes! :wideeyed: Happy birthday to moi!~ :wideeyed:

Sorry, I'm just randomly reading through the posts, and if I didn't know better, I would have thought this was a self-help sickness thread :laugh3:.

I suppose after a concert, the buzz dies down and after you're just left with a nostalgic love-sickness for what was such a unforgettable live night. You'll get over it but realize you can never pass over the concert the next time the band are coming to town.

yes, I was watching the Canada concert that was recorded a couple of days ago.. and I felt silly 'cause I was clapping and singing along and screaming "Oh MY GOD!!!!IN MY PLACE!!" "OH MY GOD!! WHITE SHADOWS!!" and so on :embarassed::D and I was remembering when I went to see them! :bigcry:

Didn't Chris or one of the guys for their next album, they won't be touring as much?! :\

Yes, he did. He said he has plan and that they won't tour as much anymore... I think it's also due that they haven't sold some gigs, right? Or have all concerts been sold out for the most part? Anybody knows?

^ YES, that's why I'm worried. :wreck:

But they totally won't go through with that, I'll believe it when I see it :P They love touring too much!

He said he has a plan and you know Chris... :worried:

I can relate :laugh3: At the concert, I was totally one hundred percent "OH MY GOD!! I CAN SEE THE BAND! ..IT'S LIFE IN TECHNICOLOUR! AHhhhhh*SQUEEE*SCREAM*HYPERVENTILATE*"

Haha thus I was glad my friends were with me; with 2 also hyperly insane fans by your side, you feel like less concerned with how you may be perceived :P

Coldplay Withdrawal.

I know exactly what you mean. I never noticed it as much b4 , but Hershey was such a PERFECT DAY for us , That a week later when I played VLV and Prospects March , I feel well, very "MELANCHOLY "is the term . They touch us so personally and well, that it just makes you want to go back to that place . I felt a similar effect after seeing Jeff Beck , from three rows back last month . I thought How am I going to top this ,? But We did. Sorry I missed you Jaysmyne, I also had my daughter w/ me and wished I could have said Hi again(Philly , Last July ) . We were in row 18 Sec. C right off the ramp. Glad you had a great time Patrick ( Slask) and hope you could have got the tour program, There's alot of nice memories in there. Maybe We hook up for the Next Trip. And along w/ all the Great Pics and Videos and write ups and chatting , We 'll be thankful that this feels like a family thing , and those memories are PRICELESS. Patience is a Virtue and if at all possible, as Tommy Bolin once said, There's " Even" Better Days Ahead. You gotta Believe !! And don't think all of our Hooting and Hollering and Screaming and Yea !!!!ing goes for Nay, The Boys KNOW that we all LOVE Them and We showed it . Till Next Time. ..........................:D

I just hit the point where searching youtube for videos of my concert doesn't make me want to cry :P There's someone on youtube who's gone to almost every one of the Coldplay concerts that I've been to, and they record perfectly at least half the concert every time! So I'm ripping the videos and making a playlist of my concert so I can relive it

And I found 2 videos where you can see me, hooray! So it's like... doubly reliving it

notlost92, I ripped those videos and made a playlist too! You and I have gone to 3 of the same concerts, the ones in DC! :)

I haven't found any videos with me in them though (unless you count mine, and you can't see me, only hear me...not the same!)

^ Cool! Have you managed to find videos for the songs that he/she didn't record, though? :\ Cause I want a full playlist, but they didn't record the whole thing

I'm only in the video because I was in the front row, and this guy was apparently pretty close behind me :D

I can relate :laugh3: At the concert, I was totally one hundred percent "OH MY GOD!! I CAN SEE THE BAND! ..IT'S LIFE IN TECHNICOLOUR! AHhhhhh*SQUEEE*SCREAM*HYPERVENTILATE*"

At this point.. with getting weird looks and stuff for my love for Coldplay.. I don't really care anymore..

That's my plan too (especially since they don't seem to be getting the emails I send, offering myself to them for any purpose - I know they're not getting my emails, 'cause if they were, they couldn't possibly resist responding) !

I'll be attending my first Coldplay concert July 30th in Toronto. Thanks for the warning about post-concert withdrawal. I've expeienced this kind of reaction before, after experiences of great joy. The last time was two years ago when I first travelled across the Atlantic to visit Scotland. I am still trying to find a way to return to the place that captured my heart. This also happened in 1993, when I first visited the Canadian Rockies and Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. I think this effect is connected to my sensibilities as an artist.

When we open ourselves to the full emotional experience of an event, we allow ourselves to be vulnerable to its effects. Sometimes it hurts a bit, but I'd rather that, than not have had the experience at all (a la Lost+). When I first discovered "Fix You", tears did stream down my face, not from sadness, but from the joy that comes with the personal, emotional experience of something profoundly beautiful. I'll joyfuylly pay the emotional price of admission for Coldplay.

I'm well aware that many will find my comments cheezy beyond their tolerance. Their loss.

I'm very happy to have stumbled upon this thread, hoping you folks will be here to help mop me up after my first live Coldplay experience.

Viva La Vida!

It's been a week since my show, and it took that long for me to listen to the CDs and stuff, I just kept watching my videos of the concert.

I get really sad about how the concert went by soo fast, and the anticipation is certianly the best part.

I can't wait until I can sometime go again to see them. I am soo thankful that I got to see them

And actually, at the end of the concert, I started crying as I was collecting my butterflies and I stayed doing that until some security person was like you need to leave now. Soo much emotion whenever I see them live.
