A glorious night

I have two really great sporting moments.. the first one is phenomenal czech skier Katerina Neumannova, when she won the 30 km on Winter Olympics in Torino 2006. I remember, how I weep with joy, when she won...

And the second is the match Czech Republic vs. Netherlands 3:2 on EURO 2004 in Portugal...it was so amazing match full of great football.... I´ve seen this many times, but I´m still excited....

For me it has to be this. Winning the second test in the 2005 Ashes with the Aussies requiring three to win with one wicket remaining. Get in! :D

 

 

YES YES AND YES! I watched it that Sunday morning and I was bracing myself for the inevitable. I was sure they'd win it the previous night and then Warne STEPPED on his stumps and I thought well that's the danger over now..... it wasn't but it was oh so close. And when it happened it was a fantastic feeling. To think England were effectively 3 runs from losing the Ashes.... unreal! Brilliant choice mate.

Yep, I saw that match and it was one of the best football matches ever. It was brilliant. I was sure the Czechs would win Euro 2004 and then they were stopped by fate aka Greece. I loved that match in fact it's definately my favourite international match. Milan Baros was on fire that tournament even though he was pretty average at Liverpool.

I had the same feelings... Czechs had a great team, but Greece was luckier.. and in final too, but I wished victory to Portugal.... Milan Baroš had at the time of EURO phenomenal form... Czech Republic never had the best scorer on tournament...we were very lucky for him :) but we lose Pavel Nedved, it was a big loss of great player.... and now.. Czech team has a lot of problems.. our position isn´t optimal....:cry:

Pavel Nedved is an absolute legend. For me Vladimir Smicer is another legend. I'll never forget his second goal in the greatest match of all time - the CL Final 2005! His name at Liverpool FC is now in the history books because of that most crucial goal. Thank you so much Vladimir!

I´m pleased to hear that! Šmicer is (or rather was) great player! He is in the best football club in Czech Republic now and people love him there... the CL Final in 2005 was so amazing match.. I couldn´t believe that a player from small and unknown country played in such a match and further scored a goal.... fantastic for me!:rolleyes:

Last year at Torrey Pines was pretty incredible, saturday alone. Tiger playing on a broken leg, making huge putts and going into a 19 hole playoff. It wasn't as heroic as it should've been since pretty much everyone was pulling for Rocco, but what Tiger pulled off was pretty ridiculous.
