mmm...probably the lyrics of Strawberry Swing, The Scientist and Fix You

I haven't an all time favourite, it changed from time to time and at moment I love the "Gravity" lyrics.

And inspired? Haha, all Coldplay lyrics inspired me to make shirts about these ;)

specifically i love "im dead on the surface, but i am screaming underneath"

and "im sick of the secrets."

i dont know. i guess most of amsterdam are my favorite lyrics.

but like aniskywalker said, gravity is great for that too.

People make these kinds of threads every few weeks

I'm not really sure. Coldplay has many very, very good lyrics. I can't think of any that would specifically "inspire" me, though.

"What good is it to live,

With nothing left to give,

Forget but not forgive,

Not loving all you see..." - Swallowed In The Sea, X&Y :nice:

Much better than those pointless threads in The Lounge though

I have a few other lyrics. May I add it up? :wacky:

"Swimmin' on a sea of faces

The tide of the human races, oh

An answer now is what I need" - White Shadows

"In your tears and in your blood,

In your fire and in your flood,

I hear you laugh, I heard you sing,

I wouldn't change a single thing" - Til Kingdom Come

I must admit that X&Y is really good lyrically. :)

I agree completely, rudy_o. Also, all of Politik, but particularly:

"Wounds that heal and cracks that fix"

My absolute favourite part in all Coldplay songs :P

Oh yes. Politik has awesome lyrics though.

I love this part:

"oh give me love, love over, love over, love over thiiiiiis"

Okay. It does look like a plain, typical lyrics, but the way Chris sings this lyrics really made me stunned.

Agree!

The gap between my favourite and my least favourite songs in X&Y is really distinct/obvious. I mean, I really like Fix You & SITS but I totally hate Low. :P

I don't feel this with AROBTTH, Parachutes or even Viva.

I have a few other lyrics. May I add it up? :wacky:

AND melodically and rhythmically and in every way. :)

Sleeping Sun

"And you as I saw

were a piece in a jigsaw

Run up the divide and

Tip of the tongue

Run round the houses

North and the south is

You've got your answers

We have both got the Sleeping Sun"

even though it doesn't make much sense to me, i still love it.

Lol. Another enthusiastic X&Y lover

"Night turns to day

And I still have these questions

Bridges will break

Should I go forwards or backwards?

Night turns to day

And I still get no answers"

A Whisper.

I don't exactly get what do the lyrics in Sleeping Sun mean, but it does sound really catchy!
