I don't understand, it seems like everytime I see the camera I get scared or something, because then, I go to a mirror and said ok let's suppose there's camera there and I'm ok, but then if I someone takes a picture of me I look, I don't know, worse than what I actually am... and I've always wondered why, is it maybe because I hate pictures of myself? I prefer to take them of landscapes or buildings or even friends but not of me... but because besides I hate posing I know I just look bad

PS: This is serious, I haven't added a poll nor random stuff so keep it this way (although sarcasm is not banned)

I think you should post a picture of what you look like (I know you hate to, but please?), because I'm almost positive you don't look as bad as you claim :surprised:

I bet it's just a psychological thing. Most people think they look terrible in pictures but actually don't mind how they look in real life.

And I finally found one where I looked skinny, no weird make-me-look-fat stuff going or anything, but I WAS LOOKING DOWN AND HAD MY EYES CLOSED!!!! >:(

 

But I've been bullied about weight in the past, so it's to be expected, I suppose. The funny thing is that I've been an athlete my entire life, and sure, I did go through my sort of tubby phases, but I've never been overwhelmingly fat. That's why there are pretty much no pictures of me here (or anywhere else) at all. I don't worry about myself when I'm out and about, just in pictures.

 

I'm sure that you don't look as bad as you think, but I totally understand how you feel. Tons of people feel that way about pictures of themselves. It's really all in our heads! The bad thing is that a picture is still, so cameras can catch you at the worst times and then it's stuck like that forever. But we don't always look all weird when we're moving around. And even poses are awkward-looking!

 

If it makes you feel better, here's a pic of me with sweaty pits, wearing sweat pants, with a dumb look on my face, and looking like a giant compared to my friends!!!

It's odd, I'm exactly the opposite. I worry about myself all the time when I'm out and about (and I wish I didn't, it's a bad habit :disappointed:) but I usually don't mind how I look in pictures. It must be some photographer thing.

Sameish, but problem with me is I can't actually pose as such for photos. I refuse because otherwise I look retarded, and then people MAKE ME pose. Bugh.

I'm the same. Its the posing that gets me. I can't smile sincerely on command, my face always ends up so fake and plasticy when I show my teeth, its much better when I don't know the picture is being taken.
