Wooden Bridge

 

It was some kind of company re-union, and the guests would arrive crossing a small wooden bridge over a trickling stream. Some of the wooden planks had fallen out and into the water. I went into the stream wearing Wellingtons, to repair the bridge. Next to me stood a small Amish boy. Upon inspection of the fallen out planks I realized that they did not float on the water, but sank into it. I asked the Amish boy how this could be, and he said it was because Martin DeThurah had put special effects on them.

Ugh, except it reminds me of the time they performed on CDUSA (back when I was just hearing about them 3 years ago) and that r&b/tween/popstar JoJo introduced them... Maybe I can just call him Jones... That's his nickname in Mew anyway... next to being called the Professor and Jonastich.

Because he does a lot of the technical stuff, I think. Visuals, writes the lyrics, their website, etc.

 

In an interview they did back in 2003, they joked about how only Bo went to college for a semester and how it was funny they called Jonas the professor.

 

In their video diary (episode #4 ) when Damon Tutunjian visits he imitates Silas and Jonas. When he does Jonas he says "It does not work because, well, It just doesn't. It's scientific. I can't explain it to morons like you, you idiots."

 

And from what I read it's about how Jonas always gets what he wants. :P Bo has mentioned Jonas as being a perfectionist when it comes to the lyrics and ideas for songs and how that's why it can take so long to finish one. (I think that was in the recent NRK interview Sofia posted on youtube... but someone translated it on mewsite.)

 

And on the dvd, obviously, during the scene with Johan talking to Michael:

 

Michael: just do it the way you've been doing it...

Johan: (in a whiny voice?).. But I haven't been doing it...

Jonas: try it.. try it...

Michael: This is going to turn into spinal tap...

 

But I think it's mostly because Jonas does almost all the technical stuff as far as visuals and their websites go, and comes up with a lot of the ideas. As mentioned on mewsite Bo and Silas seem to be perfectly fine with that, but perhaps Johan wasn't? I'd go on about that, but I'm sure we've ALL read the Storm thread there.

 

Also, maybe he's really smart? He does seem to like math and learning about other cultures?

Aw he's such a geek :P It's good that the others understand what he's like tho and can even joke about ....and I too think Johan's leaving had a lot to do with him needing more control...:thinking:

 

I don't like Damon's voice..but it is funny when he imitates Jonas - sounds just like him :lol:

 

On the latest Mewcast they're talking about how Bo doesn't really like having the visual backdrops, as it could detract from the music - that quite suprised me. Jonas obviously got his own way on that ...:P I know Jonas feels he needs them there to take some of the attention off himself. It's also noticable that they prefer night time gigs rather than daytime, I guess cos it's easier to perform in the dark.
