In the song When Love Takes Over by David Guetta and Kelly Rowland, there is a piano part which sounds almost just like Clocks. Is that them copying Coldplay?

Granted the piano riff in the above mentioned song sounds almost identical but the point is, it isn't and therefore there was no breach of copyright.

on wikipedia it says that they sampled coldplay to make this song. and i tried it on keyboard, when I hold my pitch bend up full and play clocks it sounds like that song.

That kind of makes me a little angry, but the thing is, they sound TOO MUCH alike... :rolleyes:

 

However, the thing with Satriani was that it wasn't the ENTIRE song that sounded alike it was just a couple notes, and not to mention, weren't two completely instruments used? In this song they played the piano notes that are exactly like Clocks, which coincidentally play through almost the entire song, just like Clocks.

 

Not just the keyboaard/piano, thing sound the same but the 'head under water' and 'Tides I can't swim against' make it sound EVEN more similar, to me... :dozey:

 

Oh Well, just because Coldplay doesn't sew her doesn't mean I don't dislike her music even more... :)
