Congrats Simon, I blocked for the whole month after a week and only got to 13k. And failed for the third time in a row.

 

I have persistence problems. And support problems, nobody cared about me doing it at all, as per usual. Have really got to fix that.

I was really surprised I finished it, actually but If I'm honest....i didn't find it that hard, several days I wrote NOTHING! I was getting behind in the end, and this last weekend I wrote quite alot and finished a day early!

 

I wrote the last chapter when I got about half way through and it helped me alot! From writing that last chapter I could steer where my story was going to go!

 

If I'm honest, also, my novel isn't that good! It is mostly dialogue and plot driven. I'm definetely doing it next year and hope to improve my skills, I need to get more descriptive! By the time I start it next year I will have done my English GCSE and hope to get good grades in!

 

I thoroughly enjoyed it and I really hope that you try again next year, you feel like you've acomplished something and, like I thought it might, it didn't really take over my life and it was pretty easy :)

Lol, losing for a third time has made me mope and a bit skeptical about doing it again next year tho. November is stupidly the busiest school time of the year. My result this year is the same as last year - after a week, I lost interest and didn't bother trying to get my word count up. That time and 13000 words is a bit of a waste to me.

 

I'm happy you completed it however. You are achieving something, after all.
