Rude??? NOOOO.... At least I didn't take it that way, I like any help I can get, cause I really am an newbie at this, I will try and keep the:wink3: in a beautiful light:D

Okay, I have a statement to make here. I think everyone needs to realize something about writing stories. Now I suppose I can't speak for everyone else, but I can say that I myself don't have any desire to read a story that is all crude sex. Every story doesn't need to have sex scene, or even an intimate scene. And honestly if you write soemthing like that it just sounds forced. If any of you are ever considering writing a sexy scene, use Dianna as an example. Her stories are sometimes graphic but surrounding those scenes is an actual story with an actual plot. And the scenes are always described in a beautiful, loving way. I really have no desire to read stories that describe it any other way. And that means saying things like "the best sex they ever had" or feeling the need to describe a sex scene every other chapter. If you write like that, I am not going to be interested.

I'm sorry for being harsh, but I just don't want this thread turning into a screenplay for a porno. I don't mind sexy scenes in stories. Just please don't overdo it, because it honestly just looks tacky and doesn't give a very good impression of what we do here on these two threads.

I love you all:heart:

I absolutely agree, Katie. Well put. I would also like to add that in most cases fanfiction are about made up characters from a tv show/movie/comic/book or whatever but even though we're writing fiction - our main characters are actually real people, so I think that writing a purely smutty story is kind of disrespecting. Maybe that's just me. Anyway, thanks for bringing it up, Katie-boo.

Oh, and I also love you all, you're amazing!

yep, they sure are. :awesome:

the categories might have to change a bit depending on how many stories have been written for them, but other than that they should be the same.

Will's Secret Plot: aww, katie, you did such an awesome job. :awesome::wacky:

Animals: so, dianna, let me tell you a story.

this morning i checked your blog to see if you had posted more, and i was delighted to find that you had.

then i read, and there was a lot to read, which made me happy.

and the story was great, and then as soon as i read the words unicorns i went :freak::freak::freak: and the story became just that more impossibly awesome. :awesome::wacky:

you can NEVER say that you don't get good or original ideas. :whip:

Kimberly--

Where ever you have been, I want to go there.

This story of yours is ----- I can't even find words in the English language.

But I will try---

FANTASTIC--INTELLIGENT-SWEET-THOUGHTFUL-BRILLIANT--STUPENDOUS--MAGICAL-UNTOUCHABLE

I freaked when I read about James Doolittle. And you knew so much about the actual events!! God I love this freaking story. I love the setting. I love the time period. I love EVERYTHING.

I will nominate this story for Best Will Story in a heartbeat. Unless someone beats me to it. And for some other awards too.;)

Oh and I don't mean to forget to tell you that this story was so well-written too.

The descriptions. The emotions!!

:freak::freak::freak:

Holy crap some GREAT reads today!!!

Animals: OK, this plot line is completely genius. Really. I never ever suspected something like this. It's amazing. It's beautiful. I love it. No, I adore it. More please, more!!!!!!!!!!!! :wacky::wacky::wacky:

Pink Paper Planes: Aghh! This is amazing! It was sweet and lovely and beautiful and so well written! You know I love historic stuff. And I love anything even remotely involving WWII almost half as much as Dianna does. Thank you for writing this!:D

Seriously guys, reading this stuff completely made my day. Thank you so much for writing it. Actually, thank all you writers for writing. I don't know what I'd do without something to read when I come home from a long school day. Love you all lots:kiss:.

Thank you Katie:heart: I'm glad you like it considering it was my first story I wrote (waaaaaay before I started reading and posting)

As for the pervy and sexy time. I completely agree. This explaination should be looked up upon by all of us. I feel that by having completely sex as a plot we are falling into stereotypes I have heard being implied to homosexuality. Many people say it's all sex so, this is sterotypical. You don;t write pervy scenes to please you write pervy scenes as a part of the plot in a romance. I never wrote a pervy story myself, unless The Devil Inside of Me counts. It's always nice to see a story that's cute than a very trashy sex scene- though I'm not saying there are on this thread they are out there. That is what I see went wrong with The Devil Inside of Me, it was all passion and no love. Unless you're writing a story about prostitution I don't think sex should being emotionless.

Nicely said Anna, I actually had a conversation about this once. I was doubting myself with real life fanfiction for a little while as I thought I was using them for my entertainment, but after a long period I decided that it was okay with respect.

You know Brooke, I was recently thinking that the awards should be bi-annual and I was going to suggest it to you. I am TERRIBLY EXCITED! I came in between the nomination time in December so I didn't nominate but, this time...! I think I want to work on a great story now!

I also think we should create a few new catogories like Best Challenge Fanfic. And.... Historical (if there isn't already one). And I believe I told Dianna about another category a few weeks ago...

I'll post the reviews in my next post.

Best Historical fic???:o Heck yes we need that category!!!!!! Great idea!!!

Best challenge fic could be a good new category as well. We didn't have it last time because we didn't do challenges back then. But now it would make sense.

Also....a new story? Eeeeee!:wacky:

@Katie yepp a new story, though maybe not until Homecoming is done. Which I'll work on tonight after I'm done my poetry.

Pink Paper Planes: this was such a wonderful story!

Animals: i love this story so much. :wacky::wacky::wacky::wacky:

Whoa, I've missed a lot...

I'm trying to commit to reading, but I strayed for the same reasons Katie stated. You go, girl! I totally agree with you.

And Brooke, YAAY awards! That's always a nice surprise to read. I can't wait to read that follow-up info:awesome:

I think I'll actually do some reading now...

The Last Place: Poor Jonny! :bigcry: I love the flashbacks Brooke! And how Chris's dad is supportive. *pulls Rachel* MORE PLEASE!

Pink Paper Planes: YAY HISTORY! :awesome: This was sad though:( But amazing may I add! I love WIll's parents!

Animals: Whoa! Fantasy and unicorns and Buckin. *pinches herself* This is like a dream! So cute!

Alone?: Alone? Or is there someone else?:uhoh: I love how making out with Jon is the answer for everything. I bet it could cure cancer.

EffYou: My God! That was pervy! :surprised: You are a good writer though!:)

Will's Secret Plot: Who came up with this plot?! And Katie how did you manage to make such an awesome story? You tied the two plots together! :awesome:

The last place: I'm scared :bigcry: poor Jonny. I hope they can get out of there...

Pink paper planes: Really sad ending..but such a lovely story :wacky:

Alone: aww make out sessions, how adorable

Effyou: :sneaky: new limits for this threads...I like it :P

@Rachel It was Brooke's plot:awesome:. Thank you:D
