One of my past teachers was the same way, she was absolutely great in teaching and you really learned the material very well; but her tests were just insane. It was a blessing to get higher than an 80%.

Isn't that annoying! It would be one thing if I was completely lost, then I'd accept it. But when I can do most of the work we are given only to completely fuck up on a test is making me extremely pissed. I'm doing good in all my other classes but if I don't make a at least a C in this class I won't be reimbursed 1800 from this semester and my family won't pay for my summer classes.

go freshman!

I feel old.

Nick I'll help you!

What are you on?

I'm sorry to hear that Nick. Have you tried getting a tutor?

Yeah let's all just post smilies for absolutely no reason!

:wideeyed:

Thanks.:)

We're about to start Rational Expressions and Functions. I feel like an idiot.

I got help for one section. But overall I could do most the problems we had for practice with ease. The material isn't hard, I can do a hundreds of problems but on the test I keep messing up. I have to make a B on the last 3 tests to pass.

Thanks.:)

Right well depending on exactly what you're doing you're just going to be graphing a lot of kinds of lines and can use a graphing calculator to cheat on most of it or you'll be doing stuff like series, most of which are just patterns, that you have to find equations for and stuff... really I need like example problems to know more about what you mean though :P

I know what you mean about tests, I am genuinely good at math but I make such dumb mistakes on tests, I always check my work like twice on everything if I have time, I hate it when I get a test back and I realize what idiotic mistakes I've made

Do you try checking over your test before you turn it in? That can help with mistakes. It sucks that your teacher makes the tests so long and difficult though.

This is so confusing. :P

Noooo, you can't have that attitude, you just need a decent teacher, really.

My calculus class isn't even allowed to use graphing calculators on quizzes/tests, because apparently last year some students had cheated by graphing instead of doing the work. :mean: Same thing with my accountancy class last semester.

Anyway so I'm leaving, Nick if you actually want help any time you can just leave a VM or something, I might be able to explain it for free :nice:

Ah cool, but dude you kind of need those things for some stuff :/

i remember taking calc as a senior in HS... i remember that everyone else had senioritis, so i had to pick up the slack :P

Some of these next sections don't look that hard.

x^2 is x squared. I think that's how it's written online.

EX) 5x+14/X^2-9= -2x^2-5x+2/x^2-9 + 2x+4/x-3

I don't have time. I know that I always make small/stupid mistakes but have to look back through to catch them.

I probably will, thanks Sara. Goodnight.
