How could people not like songs like "LiT", Lost, LiJ, Viva, Violet Hill, SS and DAAOHF?

You know I was listening to VLV yesterday.

And I was okay through it all. I think the worst song was Yes for me.

Which is weird cause I used to think it was one of the best.

Chris' voice is awesome, I think the violin gets a bit annoying for me.

It's still like the worst of the best though or whatever.

Also, when I was listening ot LIT and it faded onto COL, I was thinking I bet some people turned on this CD and were blown away by LIT, and then were disappointed with CoL and Lost right after. LIT feels too epic.

This was the worst, most irrelevant ramble ever.

no its not, i totally know what you mean.

i used to think CoL was just ok. but last fall i listened to it a crapload on its own, and its really a freaking great song. id say even underrated.

also, if you listen to the vinyl VLV, the fades in and out of the songs are totally seamless. its like one epic, fantastic song.

Yeah the seam between LIT and COL is you know perfect.

And it's funny cause in an interview, Chris said he thought the album flowed perfectly, except he wasn't sure about LiT flowing into COL and COL being the second track. I found that kind of funny cause it slides in so nicely.

And same about COL. At first I thought the Lalalallaalalay bit was a tad annoying.

yeahh, i think i just thought CoL was a throwaway track at first. just some random song. but as i listened to the album a lot more, i kinda realized every song is definitely there for a reason.

AROBTTH!

I think VLV is an incredible album, its gloriously magnificent in every way, but it has just become so huge that its almost lost its connection with the band (its hard to explain...its like its not theirs anymore... look, it makes sense to me....k).

But AROBTTH has a simplicity and an honesty about it that makes it undeniably the best! :)

I have to say that this is very hard to decide!:stunned:

ALL the albums are magnificent! This is one of the reasons for my love to Coldplay:heart:

But I have to vote, so I did it for Viva la Vida and All His Friends, because especially in this one they sound completely different and prove that the band can do anything!

Also I really love so much AROBTTH:happy2: I think this album is EPIC!:wink3:

and as previously some of you said, I also don't like so much A whisper:(

I think Parachutes is a classic, a must hear and X&Y in my opinion is where the band sound more rocker:guitarist:

I  Coldplay!!!

X to the Y all day baby.

Actually normally I couldn't decide, but I've been loving X&Y lately. Parachutes is probably my favorite most of the time.

The best album they ever did is AROBTTH.

I LOVE IT!!!!!

Whsiper sucks, its not great ut its probaly a ton better than anyhing on X and Y

WOW

Even though XY got me into Coldplay I still think is their worst by a mile, OK, maybe not better than most of the songs but I think theres alot more songs on XY which are worse.

AROBTTH.

How can you not like this album best when it's got Politik, Green Eyes, Warning Sign, Amsterdam, The Scientist and Clocks?

I voted for Viva because thats the album that made me a fan and the songs are better played live.

Coldplaying.com favourite Coldplay album!

My Coldplaying.com favourite Coldplay album is A Rush of Blood to the Head.

I like all the songs on A Rush of Blood to the Head and have 4 of them on my list of favourite Coldplay songs (all of them evergreens):

My favourite Coldplay songs:

1. Viva la Vida (from Viva la Vida or Death And All His Friends) - all time no. 1

2. In my Place (from A Rush of Blood to the Head) / Fix you (from X&Y)

4. Clocks (from ARoBttH) - (very close to share the no. 2 position)

5. Speed of Sound (from X&Y)

6. The Scientist / Politik (both from ARoBttH)

7. Yellow (Parachutes) / Lost (VLVoDAAHF)

Because all the songs on A Rush of Blood to the Head are beautiful and because I have 4 of them on my list of top Coldplay songs I voted for A Rush of Blood to the Head as my favourite album. It was hard to choose because I also love all the songs on Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends with VIVA La VIDA as my all time number one song together with U2's "One" and Robbie Williams "Angels". I fell in love with Viva la Vida when I heard it for the first time on June 22 2009 as it debuted at no. 1 in the UK single charts. I find this song epic / a masterpiece / an evergreen, and I am flying whenever I hear this song. Based on this Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends is my no. 2 Coldplay albums followed by X&Y with the wonderful evergreens Fix You (no. 2) and Speed of Sound (no. 4). From Parachutes I especially like Yellow (no. 7) and Trouble. :):)

A rush of blood takes a lead by one, followed by viva la vida and sensationally in a new twist parachutes is 3rd

Well, as hard as it is to choose, for me, it has to be Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends. Simply because they took a risk with this one, more than they had with the previous three. And I guess as an album, it's more cohesive, in my opinion. The boldness and strenght it exudes can't be ignored, so that's why it's my choice, even though I love all their work.

A Rush of Blood to the Head stole my heart, it's pure classic, will never get tired listening to the whole album.

I like Viva the best, because I think there are no "throw away" songs on it. Every single song in my opinion could be a hit. I also like the imagery that's used, I think that when you listen to it you get great pictures and stories forming in your head. This album has more of a variety of types of songs over the other albums also. Some are light and melodic while others are fast paced pop- y songs.

I always hesitate between VLV and X&Y, but I always choose Viva for the same reason than you, Cleeson7

Personnaly AROBTTH lacks something...I don't like all of the songs. For viva, x&y and parachutes, though, i can really feel the spirit of the albums.

I don't know if all that makes any sense.
