Aren't you like 18?

I'm 17. We have to keep our Learners license (which just requires a knowledge test, no driving) for one year after we get it, which I got when I was 16, then we can do our roadtest for our N after a year. Which is what I got today. So I'm really not THAT behind at all.

And don't worry LS. I won't be doing any crazy driving. Well not intentionally.

Lol no way. School in a month, no time for employment.

I think so.

Is it a lot easier to get your license in the US? Cause it's a bitch here.

I can still only drive with one passenger that isn't immediate family.

hmmmm....... I don't know if it's easier or harder..... I should never have gotten my permit though...... I was a terrible driver

Every state is different. Here in Virginia, we take a written test for our Learner's at 15 and 6 months. Then we take a semester of Driver's Ed at school. After Driver's Ed, we take a 3 part test with our driving instructor, each part being about 90 minutes. Then we get our licenses once we've had our permits for 9 months.

Hey! What a coincidence! I got my learner's license today too :D

Good for you that you already passed it, I took it today and I passed it immediately, now wonder why I studied for 2 months  I am also 17 by the way...

^ we have the same except you get a limited permit for 6 mos. no driving after 9, then a full permit for 6 mos. then a limited license for 6 mos. and a full license after that if you have no violations

You guy's take Driver's Ed in school eh? That's interesting.

We get our learners for 1 year. Then go about learning on your own or take private lessons.

Then we take a road test which is only like 30 minutes to get our N. Which has pssegner restrictions.

Then after 2 years, we can take a test for our actual license.

So I dunno what's harder. 3 90 minute tests seems like a bitch though. But we pretty much have to wait 3 years to get our license.

It really wasn't. The tester was my driver's ed teacher, and me, him, and the other guy taking the test just drove around talking about random shit...it was actually pretty chill. My driver's ed teacher was a bad ass.

Lol oh. Ours is really intimidating cause they are complete strangers. The first two times, I got the same chick. She was a bitch. Wouldn't even say a word. I was like sweating in fear. Today I got a really nice lady though. :)

Wow that's kind of complicated

In US (Florida State), you can get your learner's license as soon as you are 15. You pass a written or a computer based road rules test, and a road signal test. After you pass that, you get your learner's license; after one year of driving experience, you can get your full license after you pass a driving test.

I guess Florida is very laid back in this process, because other states have it harder, and do not even mention European countries :stunned:
