Blue Room?

Featured Replies

Okay firstly don't lynch me for not being hardcore enough, lol, I've only got (and love) the Coldplay albums, though obviously I've been aware of them releasing stuff prior to Parrachutes but I've never actually heard any of it...But I was in a second hand/rare CD shop in Notting Hill the other week and saw the Blue Room and some other stuff going for about £20-30 each, I didn't buy them at the time but I've been thinking about going back there and getting them. Is it worth spending that kind of money? I know a lot of people love some of that early stuff. And yes I know I could just download them but not really the same as owning a rare CD.

The Blue Room EP can go for quite a bit, and what you saw it listed for is not really unusual. However, you might want to look online a bit, but I've seen it go for more than that. On Ebay right now, two copies are bidding higher than what you saw it for.

Now, as for the other items, it depends what they are. You can usually find a lot of them online from people selling them or at local record shops for reasonable prices. It can fluctuate a lot. One day an item may go for double what it does the next, it just depends on who is looking at the time. Sometimes it pays to watch and browse a few days...

The Blue Room EP is the only early CD that I don't have yet. I have it on vinyl as part of The Singles box set, but it's not the same as owning the original CD. I'll keep watching out for it though, but I'm not rushing into buying it just yet.

^You have Ode to Deodorant? :inquisitive:

I do too! And the tape version of Brothers and Sisters.

D'you want them Joshy? :D

And, imo, you should just get it digitally, I, personally, would not spend that much on a CD. But that's about it's normal price, if that's what you're wondering.

Ode to Deodorant is the shiz!! :P

thanks, I;ll probably go back and buy it one day as I'm addicted to wasting money! lol. Nice Liam Gallagher quote btw lol

I have every fucking track Coldplay has ever released, I don't need it digitally, I just think it'd be bad ass to have a hard copy.

:laugh4: Thanks...it's so typical of Liam to say stuff like that isn't it?

Oh I didn't know 'Ode to Deodorant' was on CD... mmm... I may have to seek that one out :escaping:

I don't have any tapes. Gave up on those ages ago!

I have it digitally though. I've just got everything digital that I haven't been able to get the hard copy yet, but I have most of the singles, etc. in hard copies other than Blue Room and some recent Viva stuff...

Oh yea. Ode to Deodorant has been known to go for hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars online.

Blue Room E.P. is their best pre album release, and since it hasn't been re-released like bros + sisters, they're getting to be pretty rare. If you just want the songs, they're a buck a pop online, but a hard copy would be some collectors item. I'd even think about splurging for it, if I ever came across one.

The 12" Blue Room EP kicks even more ass.

you must be kidding

I've not heard it either, hence the whole point of this thread lol....I'm starting to think I have to buy it now before they become impossible to find in the future.

Yeah, just buy it. You can always sell it and make some money out of it.

This is basically it, via you-tube.

so true

People are forgetting that Blue Room was also reprinted, so you're lucky if you get an actual original. They're worth much moar.
