Okay no offence but some of you guys should just stfu and get yourself out of this thread or at least stop acting like you know coldplay so well, which shows that you don't if you think VLV was greater than their previous albums, populatiry has nothing to do with how good the songs are or the cd in general, vlv was a huge hit because it was something all the radio stations would play because like Kiran said it is pretty much pop...

 

OK so if I have a different opinion about which album is best then I don't know what I'm talking about? And I'd just like to point out that I could care less how popular VLVODAAHF is, I love it because I love how it sounds.

 

Also why is "pop" so often being used in a negative context? "Pop" just stands for popular after all, so if you're saying you don't like soething because it's "pop", then you're saying you don't like it because it's popular, which is ridiculous.

The popularity of VLVODAAHL wasn't really any point i've seen. I could personally care less what everyone else likes or how many people like a certain song. And "viva la vida" is a good song, but not really the best off the album. There is more on the album than just that. And I say the whole album is great.

Rap is popular here, but they put it in the Rap section, not the the Pop section.

I think that whether it's considered pop or rock and if it's popular with the masses or not that VLVODAAHL is a wonderful album, and it has other great songs on it other than "Viva la Vida". "Viva la Vida" does not make up the whole album.
