August 23, 200916 yr Exactly. These are all legitimate news stories (not fabrications) and people need to be adult about this. The fact is that it's ludicrous in this day and age that anyone should be "flogged", especially when it's for something as petty as drinking alcohol. Whatever way you look at it, it's barbaric, and should be stopped immediately. If it really is regarded as a criminal offence, surely this could be dealt with by way of a caution, community service or even a few days behind bars if needs be. Corporal punishment belongs to the dark ages, not the 21st century.:angry: This has nothing to do with religion, just human rights and common decency.;) Spot on.
