Coldplay help kids charity with £1million

Featured Replies

aww, so sweet!

I think music lessons are a great idea to help kids with problems...music is fun and may also be a good therapy!

That's so sweet! :nice:

They seem to really love doing kids charity. Didn't they donate all the musical instruments for a school that's been flooded sometime ago?

That is very kind of them

They truely do love what they are doing.... and not being all phoney like most celebs!

They really are such giving guys and really care about other ppl.

Wish I could remember which article it was where Guy talked about how abusing kids was one of the worst things he could think of .....

Great job boys! :nice:

I think I love them :uhoh:

You think? I know. :D

Coldplay Give 1,000,000 pounds to Kids Company

Coldplay Give Seven Figures to Charity

It's easy to make fun of Coldplay, but not when they do something like this. NME reports that the Brit-rock giants have donated one million pounds to Kids Company, a London-based charity whose stated aim is "to provide practical, emotional and educational support to vulnerable inner-city children and young people." According to NME, the band's members have also visited Kids Company centers, and they plan to give music lessons to the kids there. They're putting their mouths where their money is.

Kids Company founder Camila Batmanghelidjh told NME, "They were moved by the tough stories they heard and want to be genuine participants ... I got the feeling the donation was something they had planned from the start of their careers."

Keep in mind, Americans, that this total amounts to $1,616,809 U.S. dollars. That's a lot of money!
