COLDPLAY have donated £1million to a kids charity, The Sun can reveal.

Chris Martin, 32, and his bandmates are keenly involved with Kids Company, which helps underprivileged children who lack adult support.

They have visited its various centres - and also plan to give music lessons.

Founder Camila Batmanghelidjh, based in South London, said: "They were moved by the tough stories they heard, and want to be genuine participants."

She said of the donation: "I got the feeling it was something they had planned from the start of their careers."

That's wonderful!!!

Can you imagine the faces of some of those kids when the band comes in to give lessons... :)

That's so nice of them. And giving kids music lessons is a great idea.

The first time I read the article I thought the woman was called Batman...Sorry

Looks like a good charity for a change.

Great choice for a charity! This is much better than the others they've donated money to.

It's really nice that they do that kind of things :nice:

Yeah, I think this is a great thing they're doing! What's people's beef with their other charities? OxFam is a good one, right?

I would love a music lesson from Coldplay. ;)

Ditto - big time. :)

All of the boys now have kids of their own. I'm sure it put them in the mindset of wanting to help kids in need even more. What a great personal way to give back.

How nice from Coldplay to do this, I'm sure that this donation will make big differences on those kids' lives.

You took the words right out of my mouth.:)

I totally agree with you: With their love of children and music and wanting to do good, they found this excellent and brilliant way of combining these fields of interest by supporting children in need. And music lessons - what a good idea. - I do hope that these children will be able to listen, not being too distracted / distraught by the fact that the teachers are Coldplay. :)

Aw :nice: You gotta love these boys. They're the best.

I know right? :wacky:

If I had music lessons with Coldplay, I would practice every single day, and then I would play the piano like a pro :cool4: But since my music teacher sucks, I have to learn all my songs from youtube :laugh3:

:heart::clap:

Oh wow!! They could have taken the selfish route after the VLV Tour and decided to spend all their free time now on themselves, but instead, they decided to devote their spare time now on people less fortunate than they are!!!!

THEY ARE THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD!!!!!!:D:D:D
