BAN POSTS

Featured Replies

I am offended by some of the opinions of people on this site. I'd like to propose that all posts are screened by a mod/admin before they are approved.

This will avoid people getting offended, seeing as that is now the main goal of the forum, to avoid offense.

and why ?

"This will avoid people getting offended, seeing as that is now the main goal of the forum, to avoid offense."

We will also have to wait 3 days for each post to appear, which will make everyone leave.

Well done.

It's actually what Admin find offensive that is relevant, nothing else.

They've made the correct decision IMO.;)

For once, I actually agree with you.

Who gives a crap what people somewhere on the other side of the world have to say on a forum?

I could say **** till the cows came home until you complained. So is it really what the admin find offensive? Or is it just until someone complains about it?

One word is not more offensive than an entire post. Mark's posts are more offensive than the word ****. If **** has been banned on the grounds of offense then the same logic should be applied to opinions, you'd hate to be hypocrites now wouldn't you?

Who gives a crap about a solitary word then?

1. I don't know if anyone actually complained about those words this time, but it wasn't me.

However, I totally applaud anyone that did, and totally support Ian's decision.

2. Opinions don't matter, only Admin's views. If they deem something offensive, they will do something about it, as they have in this case.:smug:

Alright then, but someone complained and that's why they dealt with it, if the Admin actually had a problem with swearing, why was it allowed in the first place?

Admin's views are opinions you absolute cretin.

nathan, your freedom and rights ends when those enters other person "home" and vice versa.

having freedom of speech here, shouldn't give the right to use bad words constantly for whatever the cause is, or start endless fights.

admins and mod decitions are their decitions, why do we have to give our views about them?

do you like we tell you how to wear your clothes just for you are on this board? NO.

freedom abuse here has lead us to that point, just if some people would had know how to behave it won't have had happened.

and i had not complained about that bad usage, there was no need to, as it was obvious and everyone has sentenced themselves along those last months so...

anyways if you don't like it, do leave and move on.

Yeah you're right, lets give ourselves LESS rights, it's for our own good

OPPRESSION FOR THE WIN.

They are entitled to change things and I am entitled to suggest/challenge things, it's how public forums work, if Ian would gladly justify why **** is banned but I am still allowed to attack people and cause offense as long as I don't use a "bad" word then I would be happy, it's not going to happen though because he is a spineless ****.

I don't think insulting Ian that way is a very clever thing to do.

Not gunna criticise her grammar Mark?

No, because she's a nice person, and English isn't her mother tongue.;)

That is an opinion and therefore irrelevant, right?

Irrelevant with regard to what action Ian decides to take, yes.;)

well I've seen lots of mark's posts reported as offensive by another members (not me, not nathan, etc) so according to this logic he should be banned too

Hahahahahahaha. (@Mark)

I've made my point, I don't really give a fuck what else is said in here by Mark.

OH LOOK WE CAN SAY FUCK, HAVE I OFFENDED ANYONE?

rules have changed now, things weren't banneable before, now those will be (would be useful have the new rules clear?) so we all must take them into account now.

and i am not defending/offending any particular person if that is what you think.

I hate the c-word. However, I believe in the freedom of people to use it and for the freedom of people to ignore it. Unfortunately though, Ian trumps us all. When we sign up to use this forum, there is a warning about inappropriate language or something like that. It is what it is. Not worth getting banned over Nathan.
