Haha, one of my uni friends described them as "really agro dance music" haha.

Yeah I saw them at Good Vibes this year, the only song I really knew then was Parlez-Vous Francais but I went out and got the EP afterwards.

Hollywood is probably my least favourite on the EP, but for Take Me to Your Leader

i love the way Hollywood is structured its very well.....calculated i guess. but its been the least successful out of all their singles.

What do you think of the new one, Magic Fountain?

as usual on first listen to an art vs science track im a little meh but they all tend to grow on me.

Oh no. I think I really want to go to Parklife now.

We're doomed.

This is a bit of a facepalm for Labor yeah... everyone will think poor Rudd, she backstabbed Ruddy, now we only have her and Abbott, but at least she's a ginger-haired woman PM!!!!

Bleh. I would have liked our first female PM to be voted in, but we vote for the party at an election really. At least I don't have to vote between these two donkeys.

Excuse me while I go watch Kevin Rudd, P.M. for giggles anyway

Haha, today on the train I heard a couple of guys talking. They were like,

"She's not really the first female prime minister because she didn't actually get voted in. She's just going to be told what to do and say by about 5 old men anyway."

:p

Video for the new Art vs Science track is up:

You can't go past the fighting mimes in their last clip, but you gotta admit this video is cool!!!

Also, a cameo performance of Triple J breakfast show host Alex Dyson :P

Great line up with alot of new recordings. in a way i miss the non stop thing they used to do but i guess in this way i can now listen to almost everything.

Typically, it starts about 4 hours after I leave to go home. Where I will have no radio. Gah.

Are the presets any good? My friend was raving about them the other night.

Don't forget Rolf Harris is opening Glasto!

Hey, was anyone here thinking about recording arcade fire's set? I would really enjoy that but obviously I cant as I will be at school.

Fuck I'm out Friday night til Sunday. Damnit! I'll miss The Presets and maybe Radiohead too! Gaaaarh!

And Briggins, Presets are very nice.

Hmm, got an exam on at 12 Monday so I will miss arcade fire. The rest, we'll see.

i have the arcade fire set already on my computer. its actually the reason i became an AF fan, didnt care much for them before i heard this live at the wireless. imo it is one of the best triple j live recordings ever.

i will try and record as many of the shows as possible then upload them. im working pretty long hours these days so i cant make any promises.

^^

but if you love cut copy you'll find the presets a little immature and boorish, they have much more of a club/party vibe, more in line with the bloody beetroots i would say. the presets did incredibly well on the charts in 2008 whereas cut copy were no where to be seen. but internationally the presets had very little success and we all know how well cut copy did.

Hmm, is that AF recording uploaded anywhere?

I went to a concert last night that was being held for the opening of a new bridge in Brisbane. The headline act (and the main drawcard, for me) was Angus and Julia Stone, and WOW they were good! Absolutely beautiful live, I'd really like to go to one of their own shows to hear more of my favourites live, because their set was only about 8 songs long - but included Mango Tree, And the Boys, Big Jet Plane, Yellow Brick Road, Just a Boy and Julia played a cover of a song from Greece :P

Although I personally prefer Angus' voice over Julia's, she was very very impressive live, much more so than on the records, I thought.

Either way their performance was perfect. I loved it!

I'll post some pics/videos later if I get time.
