You know what really shits me off

When you get those really tall idiots in an area of shorter people

and the fuckers stand in front of EVERYONE shorter than them just so THEY can see. Screw everyone else, as long as THEY can see!

Grrrrrrr.

At shows people are always like this to me "awww look he's so ickle here here here take my spot at the front!"

:cheesy:

THIS.

Especially when you're only just over five feet tall :disappointed:

At that bridge concert I went to a few weeks back a couple of girls pushed in front of my friend and I (we couldn't help it) and then proceeded to drag about 7 MORE of their friends to the front with them. THAT really pissed me off :dozey:

They didn't last long in the front once things started getting a bit rougher, thank god.

I'm 5'8 bitch you sure about that

GAAAAAHHHHH. Chicks who push in and then push their friends in! I hate that! That's happened to me too and they think they're so smart by doing it!

Any of you going to Jonsi side shows?

A very cool band Seth Frightening from NZ are going to support him. Jonsi chose them himself which is quite incredible!

Splendour times are out

really loving the look of the GW McLennan stage.

by the way, which albums are we anticipating at the moment from aussie bands. i can only think of basement birds, birds of tokyo and children collide.

AHHHHHHHHH FINALLY!!!

I'll post tonight which bands I will hopefully be seeing! :D :D :D :D :D :D

There are a few clashes, but I can't say I wasn't expecting that! :P

i wish i could but tix are 90 bucks!!!! i couldnt justify that after all the money ive spent already on other shows.

OK so here's what I've (tentatively) decided on...

Green are the ones I really want to go see

Orange are clashes yet to be decided upon

Red are ones I'm rather annoyed to be missing out on :p

I think I'm most annoyed about the Drums/TDCC clash. Grr.

I'd really rather watch Laura Marling but I'm also concerned about getting a good spot for Florence, which I think will be hard to do. Especially seeing as a 'good spot' for me means right up the front of the mosh because otherwise I can't see :p

why the fuck are the drums and TDCC at the same time!!!! are they freken stupid!!

i would be tearing my hair out at friday. there are 14 acts on that day i would LOVE to see live.

really hoping triple j broadcast a great bulk of the festival live to air. that timetable also confirms that mumford wont be laura marlings backing band at her show in sydney on sunday. :(

^^mmm, I'm a bit the same but I thought I should allow myself time for rest :P Plus I've already seen lisa mitchell and angus and julia already, and I'm seeing angus and julia again later in the year now. I'm not sure about seeing washington yet (I haven't heard much of her stuff besides the ones on the radio). And i forgot to put yeasayer in my "annoyed to be missing out on" list :p

Actually I missed out like 5 bands. Not that it matters.

regardless you will have the best 3 days of your life. that line up is comparable to some of the biggest fests around the world, the ones that see 80 000+ attend. splendour has somehow managed to lure in this incredible line up with only 30 000 attending. it is something very special.

Yeah Two Door and the Drums is a clash that would have me pulling teeth out.

You're seeing Empire Of The Sun instead of the Pixies? are you mad?

I was gonna say the same thing

^^

:nice:

Probably.

But to be honest I've never been a big fan of the Pixies. I've never listened to them extensively but from what I've heard there aren't many songs that I really like that much

I don't doubt they'd put on a good show, though.

Hello, I'm Alex and I think The Pixies are one of the worst, most boring and un-original bands I've ever heard :)

lol. I don't actually like the Pixies very much either. I think they're pretty boring actually :P

But I would much rather see them over Empire Of The Sun

So do you just really dislike Empire of the Sun Eddie?

My sister saw them earlier in the year, said they put on a really good show... I thik it'll be worth it just to see the costumes! :p

Haha. Yeah both good bands, I'd prob go pixies. Empire of the sun just too weird with one person now

BASEMENT BIRDS ALBUM OUT TOMORROW! Woo!

:laugh3:

I don't really dislike Empire Of The Sun...it's just...The Pixies are legendary, and it'd be great to say that you'd seen them live. And you might not get the chance to see them again. You never know

True that. I guess I'll just see how I feel on the day.
