Stacey sang The Scientst a few weeks ago on the show.

We know for a fact that Chris loves the show since he always talks about it and introduced it into the gigs. It's his handwriting, he's obviously just sent it because he means it. Even if his fans don't agree ;)

why the negativity? if they like her it's totally ok if they send something to her, in fact it's a very nice thing to do, it shows how great are the guys :nice: all that matters here it's that the band likes her, not what the fans think

She didn't sing it with anywhere near enough emotion. When Chris sings it, it comes from the heart.

Her version is just TERRIBLE. :sick:

yep yep yep.We know Coldplay weel enough to know they wouldn't do that without meaning it.With Chris and Will in the band...come on.They don't do stuff like that unless they had the idea.They're busy enough

It's really sweet of them and I also like it for the fact that they are so down to earth that they watch shows like this one and are really happy about their songs being performed.

 

She didn't sing it bad or anything. In my opinion she did a good job and I liked her interpretation. :nice: I think it's unfair to say everybody but Chris sings it terribly because covers are not about copying the original, they are about expressing yourself through the song. No one could sing The Scientist like Chris does because they don't know the actual story and his feelings behind it. But that doesn't make their versions bad.
