Very disappointed I'm missing out on them at Splendour

I listened to the album again...still don't like it...

What exactly is it that you don't like about them?

It just seems really dull to me. Like it's nothing special. You know? I just don't like it. Not much else I can say...

 

Oh and the guitar sound in Book Of Stories makes me angry :P

the album is sitting at a solid 8.0 for me. the last 3 tracks are a bit of a drag and theres something about down by the water that makes me want to pull my hair out, parts of it are so very beautiful but other parts are sooooo slow and.....well shit. otherwise its an excellent album.

Really? "I'll Never Drop My Sword" is one of my faves. It's an 8 for me too.

I just really like the album.

But I can't give music number ratings because it's usually affected by how I'm feeling at the time :P

im sooo happy that a band i discovered right the beginning has gone on to make a great debut. makes it worth being a music lover!

I've only listened to this album once, and I found it to be incredibly dull.

SERIOUSLY? :shocked2: This is messed up. :disappointed: And what kind of guy is Adam? I mean, leaving your band in the middle of the tour is pretty unclassy. :disappointed:

I really hope they survive this because even though some of you seem to think they have nothing special, to me they really are brilliant ! I don't get how you could find their music dull but oh well...

too much too fast imo.

 

they were complete unknowns a little over a year ago. i think they only played their first gigs in early 09. now theyre traveling the world with massive critical acclaim to go with it.

if you ask me. it's his loss. i can see The Drums going a long way. but i dont want to say too much. i took it a bit too far with all the Killers break up rumours and we all know how that ended.

They remind me of an indie version of Papercuts. It's rare that I like modern 'indie' bands but these guys have a subtle cool about them and have some nice tunes.
