December 13, 200916 yr This, all in all, has been one of the crappier days in my entire life. Now I have a lot of work to do, and I feel awful and I can't concentrate, and it's too quiet, and I can't just go hug my cat and feel better because she's gone as of this morning. Anyone have any good suggestions of things to listen to to fill the deafening silence? Preferably with a good thump to it?
December 13, 200916 yr Author christmas music! No! :bomb:  It's soooo not Christmas today. Listening to Rob Dougan right now. Helping a tiny bit...

December 13, 200916 yr Author I don't want to feel better. I don't want to laugh. And Radiohead is my mood neutral- not so good for worst days ever.... "You're a cold piece of steel between my ribs and there's no saving me And I can't get up from this wet crimson bed that you made for me Cause love, like a knife in the back, has cut me down and I'm bleeding - yeah, I'm bleeding And if you go, angels will run to defend me - to defend me" [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eINS3yYQ2aU]YouTube- Rob Dougan - Furious Angels with subtitles[/ame]
December 13, 200916 yr Author Try listening to Them Crooked Vultures if you are angry...Hmm... will try next.
December 13, 200916 yr Minimal techno, Nathan Fake or something. Its good because those mixes can go on for 7-10mins, have a nice beat, and can keep you focussed on your work instead of the music.i I find music with lyrics tends to make my concentration drift, words in a song can get muddled with words youre trying to read. Even if its not your kinda music, give it a go. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYWox2ONf84]YouTube- Nathan Fake - The Sky Was Pink[/ame] I dont know what you meant by what work you have to do, but if its studying or something, this works really well for me. If it's too soft to make you feel anything or even realise its playing, you can get more of a 'thump' out of soft d'n'b: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A090gqf0in8]YouTube- T Tech - Essence[/ame]

December 13, 200916 yr The Noel Gallagher piece was originally written by him in 1997 but was sampled by Ian Brown in 2004 for his song Keep What You've Got where it was heard for the first time. Used more recently in the recent X Files Movie a couple of years back

December 13, 200916 yr After a while of listening to techno you begin to pick up on what you like and what you dont within seconds of listening to a beat, so it becomes trial and error. Four Tet which was mentioned on this page is another quality artist.
December 13, 200916 yr Author ^^^Love Noel's Chemical Brothers songs. And quite liking one of the Album leaf tracks. But would someone please explain why Pink Floyd makes my ADD worse? ^Like Four Tet. (LOVE Burial- been listening to him all afternoon.) Yeah, I'm picky. And know fast. I just find enough I don't like in a hurry that I tend to give up fast too.
