:dozey: I mean as the viewers I think we deserve a (somewhat) satisfying ending. I'm not expecting cliche'd rainbows and butterflies and it's impossible for them to satisfy everyone but I mean more from a story point of view it deserves a GOOD ending. I don't see how you couldn't agree with me on that, I mean we've watched 6 whole seasons.

I beg to differ in terms of the triangle, I would say they have been flogging a dead horse per se for quite some time but now Juliet is supposedly dead there is not a concrete resolution to it - The crazy shippers will hold out hopes until they A. Kill Kate off or B. Resolve it another way whether that be Kate end up with no one, have them all die at the end or Kate end up with one or the other. I am saying this as someone who has spent quite a deal of time on the forums. That storyline is a big deal to a big part of the fandom, sad as it may be. Guess I'm a loser myself. Although I'm quite tired rampant shippers to be honest. ;)

I don't expect them to not kill anyone off. I just hope they don't kill off all my favourite characters, or everyone at the end. I am a strong believer in the Adam and Eve skeletons in the caves theory being tied up at the end - as a big part of the ending. Two of the main characters being those two people. Most likely Jack and Kate. Don't know quite how that would work, but it's a popular theory with a lot of the losties and would make sense. It's a cool idea.

If you don't agree with any of this, that is your opinion. Respect. :D

I'm probably going to hate the ending regardless of what happens, I'd rather they did it their own way than tried to please the fans.

You really don't get what happened with Juliet did you? How would she die but everyone else survive? Think about it. I post on the forums too and I know more about it that you, evidently ;)

if Adam and Eve is Jack and Kate it doesn't make sense how Jack would have the stones, cos he picked them up from the dead bodies. You can't give yourself something if you never owned it in the first place.

Well, I have faith that I won't hate the ending. But then that might be blind faith. ;) I understand that I might be setting myself up for a disappointment. I agree that the writers should end it the way they want to - and the way they think is best. It's not the number one thing they're aiming for, to please all the fans. They can't anyway.

I just hope as viewers most of us feel the ending is conclusive enough to be satisfying. Regardless of the crazy plot lines, smoke monsters and polar bears LOST has always been primarily a character driven show - the main writers have said this themselves. They've spent a lot of time developing their storylines and for several seasons the character flashbacks where the backbone of the story. The shows fans are very invested in these characters and want to see how things will end for them all. That's what makes a good TV show well written, when you have your audience invested in it.

Actually, I have thought about the whole bomb thing - it's a tricky one because as you said if the bomb went off and Juliet dies you would think everyone else above would too. It was meant to be a pretty powerful explosion. But at the end of the day, the other characters can't be dead. Perhaps in an "alternative reality", if they succeeded in changing everything that happened. Because they're all present in the last season. Elizabeth Mitchell's character is not, from what I've read. She's taken on a new role in another drama airing this year. I guess we just have to wait and see. Lost doesn't always make scientific sense - they always find a way of getting round things no matter how mind boggling. ;)

Yes there our some big loopholes when you think about the J/K A&E theory - but there are several well written arguments for it that might just get around the whole thing. It involves the whole time/space continuum thing and the island. Even if it doesn't happen, I still think the skeletons in the cave will play a part in the ending. The writers have directly hinted it several times themselves, even if somewhat cryptically. I may be wrong though! Again just have to wait and see. :nice:

Were you not listening at all for any of season 5? It's so clear they've "reset time" but I think they've just created an alternate universe

I am in such withdrawl. February 2nd needs to get here right now.

Er - actually yes I was. Although, I may be a bit hazy, as I've not watched it back. You'll have to forgive me for that. ;) I think your probably right - I also think they've succeeded in changing the time. There are big rumours of an alternative universe, and therefore an alternative storyline.

You posted that wrong Jo, it doesn't make sense haha

the last sentence should go after "they were never in the 60s"

Apparently, the Dutch channel that airs Lost is going to start airing the sixth season three days after it's been aired in the US. That's.. fast. :freak:

7 days left to watch season 5 again. That should be enough. :nice:
