The 5th Mixtape Exchange (Tapes In First Post)

Hey Clem!

I downloaded your tape, too. I'm sorry I don't have time to do a full, real review, but I wanted to let you know what I thought.

First of all, my song order is probably going to be off, because I did a quick listen through earlier, and when I came back, my media player had detected and tagged a few of the songs, and pulled them out of order :( So, I know the names of a few songs/artists thanks to media player. :D

1. Mediaplayer tells me this is Esthero- I Drive Alone. I had not heard this one before, and I like the sound of it alot. Great rhythm and instrumentation and I like the singer's voice, too. :)

2. This one's also new to me. Has a similar vibe to the first song; another great female vocalist. Almost sounds like Alicia Keyes...?

3. Don't know which one's supposed to be track 3, so I'll just review... "Let Go" by Frou Frou, instead :D Mediaplayer also told me the name of this one, but I actually already knew it because it was on the mixtape that I received, too! I really liked this one :)

4. Nice guitar intro... maybe harp, too? Like the vocals.. "it's not over, not over, not over..." Like this one. :)

5. acoustic guitar intro; drums come in. Vocals are familiar... is this Empire of the Sun? I don't know any of their songs other than "Walking on a Dream" but this has a very similar sound.

6. OOOhhhhh! It's Chris! This must be one of his collaborations I haven't heard (I know, I'm probably the only person on here who hasn't heard it! :P) oh, but I love it. Thanks for this one!

7. Again, not sure where this one is supposed to be in the mix, but track 7 seems like a good place for it! :P Media Player tells me this is Stay out of Trouble by The Kings of Convenience. It's good! Has a folk vibe to it, which I like. :) Nice harmonies, too.

8. Nice piano intro. Like the vocals, too. Oh, I really like this one, too. :) '...I don't know, Sylvia..."

9. "...It's a mad, mad world..." hmmm.. I've heard OF this song before, though, I've never actually heard it. Pretty good. :nice:

Ok, i've got to run in a few minutes, so I'm gonna do a quick skim over the last eleven (!) tracks. :)

- Song 10 repeats the lyric "black and gold..." this one is OK, but not my favorite.

- Song 12 is a live track... not bad.

- track 13 is unassigned.

- and Track 14 is also unassigned...

- Song 15- really like the vocals and melody... really pretty

- Song 16 sounds kind of familiar, musically. "... put your stones away; put your bow and arrow down.." Like it!

- Song 17- guitar, soft vocals. nice melody and harmonies. Like the piano added in, too.

- Song 18- So Sorry- Feist! I really like Feist and this album, The Reminder :D

- Song 20- really different intro, snapping, lots of synth elements. not bad.

- Song 21- this one feels kind of familiar, but I can't place what it reminds me of. another that's not my favorite, but definitely not bad, either.

- Media Player tells me I've got...

"The Eraser" by Thom Yorke. REALLY liked this one. :)

OH! The Moon, by The Swell Season! I  the Swell Season. Love the combination of Glen and Marketa's voices! I knew it was the Swell Season when I heard this, though I hadn't heard this song before. love it. :)

-"Breathe Me" by Sia. Like the piano, like the vocals; kind of somber feeling at the beginning. like this one!

Sorry for the out of order review, but thanks for sharing your mix! Lots of stuff that's new to me that I enjoyed, and I liked the kind of mellow vibe the whole tape had.. can't wait to see the tracklist! :nice:

me too me too!! :cheesy:

who's got one? :)

I do :D check mine :)

Is there a specific reason why my mixtape isn't in the first post? I've put the link up and it's been reviewed...

Why didn't you post my mixtape in the 1st page, Mr Bryceman Escapisto? :disappointed:

Maybe Bryce has been busy?

I know this is off-topic, but how's that review going for you? :)

The 2005 thing. How's it going?

  • Author

Oh, its about half done. Im only putting album art and videos in because im so lazy but its should be done. there are like 20 albums in 2005 worth a mention so i want to get around to them all.

Haha.

Right, OK. I was just wondering. I kinda got started on mine last night and listed down albums. I feel as if it'll be so incomplete, though, because there are more than several groups that I know people on the board listen to, and I don't know their music. :\ Hopefully, the WoM frequenters will understand that.

So I can tell from your facepalm count that it was the metal stuff that you didn't like. It's OK; my original recipient for the mixtape was kinda the same way. My main goal was to make the tape as diverse as possible, and I figured including different genres would be a good way of doing that.

Anyway, tracklisting again:

1. "Glass"-Bat for Lashes [COL? Who's that?]

2. "Un Dernier Verre (Pour la Route)"-Beirut [i generally find Beirut to be fantastic in general. :) ]

3. "Amazing"-Blue October [The lyrics are a bit depressing, yes]

4. "Tiny Little Robots"-Cage the Elephant

5. "The Last Crusade (A New Age Dawns, Part 1)"-Epica [Nope, not Tarja; it's Simone Simons singing.]

6. "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song"-Fleet Foxes

7. "Chelsea Morining"-Joni Mitchell [it's actually from the '60s. BAHA.]

8. "Forever"-Kamelot [sorry! Again, not Tarja; this time, the singer is Roy Khan.]

9. "Wheels Over Me"-Mew [They do kinda sound like that at times.]

10. "All I Do Is Dream of You"-Michael Bublé [Question me all you want. I'mma still listen to him. :laugh4:]

11. "Hot Air Balloon"-Owl City

12. "Human of the Year"-Regina Spektor

13. "Soldier Side"-System of a Down [That's what drug me to this song, is lyrical content.]

14. "Public Service Announcement"-The Bravery [My mixtape recipient really loved this one, too. I'm glad The Bravery are getting so much love. :wacky:]

15. "You Are The New Day"-The King's Singers

16. "Last to Know"-Three Days Grace [They're actually Canadian. :P]

17. "Virus Alert"-Weird Al Yankovic [He's a funny guy. I wish I had more of his stuff.]

1. COL = Cemeteries of London

2. Indeed they are

5. I've heard about Epica. But still...

7. 60's? whoa, she's ahead of her time.

10. Hahaha :D My question is not how can you like Buble, but how can you like Buble AND Epica... I'm in no position to ask though, I like Enya and Audioslave :P

14. Sure we do, it's so feisty!

15. Man, I like them.

17. I never like him, and I never thought that it's him, and I like it.

That's a long gap between your post and this reply... gosh, I need a life.

1. Ohhh. You really think so? I never thought of it that way.

2. :wacky:

5. HAHAHA. Sorry. :P

7. To be more specific, it's 1969. :D

10. I think it's great to have a varied array of tastes, and I think that both Bublé and Simone are lovely singers. HAHAHA, Enya and Audioslave. Nice. :P

14.

15. You do!? YAAAAAY. :cheesy:

17. I've had times like that. With MrNick's mixtape [which I have yet to review], there's a Modest Mouse track on there. I've never liked them before, but the song he put on there, "Night on the Sun," is rather nice, with a good bass/low guitar thingy.

I want to download a few more, but just wanted to say thanks to AnnaElisabeth, Erika (Yellowtalking), and Clem (Vitaamine) for getting me interested in Florence + the Machine, The Postal Service, Imogen Heap, Arcade Fire, White Lies, Animal Collective, Metric, Goldfrapp, Kings of Convenience, Miike Snow, and many others!

I want to know who made the mixtape that I "officially" got..

:awesome::dance:

Yay! I finally got a chance to download and listen to my mixtape. Thank you, thank you, Mixtape Maker!! I love it!! Lots of stuff I don't know and some songs I already know and LOVE! :D

Here's a brief and not at all technical review...

1. I know enough about the Killers to know this is them, but not enough that I know what song this is. I do like it, though... been meaning to listen to more of them. Brandon Flowers' voice can sometimes annoy me, but I really like the melody of this song... is the title "Can You Read My Mind?"...that line is repeated a lot. Like it!!

2. No clue about this one, though it does sound vaguely familiar. Starts off with really pretty melody and instrumentation. Singer's voice is very high and almost too sweet...."it's not me, it can't be..." like this one, too!

3. Another one that sounds vaguely familiar... I like the singer's voice alot. starts with piano and vocals, violins come in. "...Love burns brighter than sunshine". nice. The end got a little repetitive, but another good one!

4. No clue on this one. Singer has very high voice... can't really tell if it's a man or woman. Kind of electronica-y (not sure if that's the correct term, but it definitely involves synths!) Reminds me a bit of Erasure w/ its light tone. Nice chorus. interesting breakdown about 2/3 of the way in... is this the same song or does it kind of meld into another; the last section sounds a bit different from the rest of the song. Curious as to who this is!

5. More electronica (again, sorry if that's the wrong term). I think I like this one more than the previous, though. This reminds me of stuff I listened to in high school (in a good way!) :) "Such great heights..." Is this The Postal Service? For some reason I associate those words with them. I haven't heard much of their stuff, but I've been wanting to try them out!

6. :stunned: Precious Things by Tori Amos!!:heart: love this song; love this album! Haven't listened to it in a while... thanks for the reminder! :nice:

7. Don't know this one at all... interesting intro; lots of textures. Very interesting instrumentation and nice to listen to, but not one of my favorites.

8. Again, really interesting instrumentation (electronica-y again). Like the singer's voice alot. "first train home; got to get on it". Like this one a lot!

9. I know this one! Phoenix- Lisztomania! Love it!

10. Don't know this one, but I LOVE it! A Harp! A really lovely female vocalist. She has a really powerful voice. very nice! Can't wait to find out who this is!

11. Is that an accordian I hear? Two voices- a man and a woman. Like this one!

12. The Smiths! This Charming Man!! Oh, I love, love the Smiths, though it's probably been a good 10 years or so since I last really listened to them... I only have them on cassette!! Thanks for this one!!

13. Wow!!! Echo & the Bunnymen, "Bring on the Dancing Horses"! Mixtape maker, I love your taste! :D Love this song, though it's really the only Echo & the Bunnymen I know. I also have this one on cassette! :P

14. The Cure- Boys Don't Cry! Wow, these last three songs take me back! Haven't heard them in a while and really love them!

15. This one I don't know, but it also sounds vaguely familliar. "With my feet in the air and my head on the ground..." I like this one alot, too!

16. Sounds like New Order, but it's not... Joy Division? I don't really know Joy Division, but I know they have a song called "Love Will Tear Us Apart"! :) I quite like this one, too!

17. Don't know this one, either... "There's beauty in the breakdown..." wow! another winner!

18. Oh, I really like this one too. Nice and upbeat. Kind of reminds me of the Killers.

Thank you, Mixtape Maker! I really, reallly love this mix and you were right on with your choices... they are just outside what I'm used to listening to, but still really appealing to me!

I can't wait to "meet" you and find out the setlist! Thanks again! :nice:

I'm so glad you liked it! :nice: (I used to be such a Toriphile  ;))

I'm so sorry for not reviewing yours yet, I've been all over the place these last few weeks. I have, however listened to it (I put it on my iPod!) and I really liked it :awesome:

I'll try to post the longer review maybe tomorrow or something!

Yes, I loved your mix, thanks!!

And I'm glad you've had a chance to listen to the one I made for you... I was worried you hadn't gotten it! Looking forward to hearing what you thought about it! :nice: (oh, and I was once a Toriphile, too! :D)

OK so I know I may be like a gizillion weeks late.. but better late than never :)

here's my take on the mixtape handed down to me:

1) jazzy schnazzy type of tune.. Reminded me of the old tv show Taxi. But relaxing none the less. Something you’d probably play in the background at a dinner party.

2) creepy yet happy sounding. Sounds like Iron & Wine.. But I could be wrong.

3) starts off very curious. I dug the guitar progressions… over all enjoyed this tune. Nice collabo with the vocals and melody.

4) ahh a piano tune……….. But in French? I have no idea what he’s on about. But he lost me once the ‘hip hop’ beat kicked in. (or at least I thought that was the effect they were going for)

5) not really feeling the beat on this one. Nor the vocals. The song doesn’t real do anything for me.. But, it does pick up a bit in the middle.

6) Sounds like Editors…. Sad tune. True though. Very true in the lyrics. Piano/guitar driven songs usually grab my heart.

7) Soulful. James Morrison maybe? Kinda blues inspired. Definitely sounds like an acoustic session, always a fan of those.

8) folky. That’s all I can really say about this one. Enjoyable especially on the chorus. Sad tune as well.

9) another French tune…. I did enjoy the tune though. At least there were no weak attempts at hiphop on this one lol - nice relaxing tune. His vocals actually remind me of a French Bowie!

10) starts off very quiet.. Creeps in and then it just mellows you out. Guitar seems to be telling the story here. Short yet it speaks volumes. Nice use of an interlude I suppose.

11) mellow. Summery tune.

12) Corrine Bailey Rae!!! Love her… he vocals are so sweet and heartfelt. Pure Poetry.

13) The sax. Jazzy tune. But its not necessarily my cuppa jazz. Jamiroquai…. Meh. I either have to be in the mood for him or not..

14) Starts off with heavy horns… I recognize her voice, but I can’t really place her. Sounds like Bonnie Raitt lol but I know its not…. Gotta do some research on this one. Over all I liked it.

15) Hmm Spanish tune.. Lucky for me I understand J but to be honestly the tune doesn’t speak to me. Meh. Next…

16) toe tapping tune… but again, I can’t understand French L and the second plus to the song is that its not trying to be something its not… I do like the tune despite the language barrier.. The guitar progressions and the melody.

17) sexy tune. I think its enticing, and passionate. I very much like his vocals, and I see myself looking for more of his stuff.. Once I figure out who it is.. Lol So far my favorite newly discovered tune.. To whom I have no idea it belongs to!!! L diggin it.

18) here’s the closer of the cd… smooth, quiet, jazzy. Interesting lyrics, and simple. I like it.

Over all, the mix was filled with soul, jazz, and folk. Not a bad combo. I can definitely see myself jamming to this mix when I’m writing or just relaxing with some wine and friends. Thank you The Escapist for including me in on the event, and for whoever the maker/creator of this mix was.. thank you for introducing me to a few new artists :) Thats what music is all about :)

Overall score 8/10

-I have now located the actual setlist, which obviously doesn't match the review lol but it goes in the order I listened to them. :/

I've got a mixtape from Swallowed Seaman to review and I'm terribly sorry it took so long to send it. I'm really aprreciated the music choice, discovered some unknown artists and revealed the good memories over the certain events.

Here we go.

1. Radiohead - Bodysnatchers. It was very nice to start mixtape with my favourite band's song. Great choice!

2. Rock blues with strong country music influences. Strong nice voice of the singer and very energetic

3. It starts like one of U2 songs, but ends up with traditional American-style rock hospel with female chorus in the back. Sounds like lighter version of Everlast to me.

4. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Shallow Be Thy Game form One Hot Minute. It's interesting to hear they are back to their roots in the last studio album. Good choice.

5. What I like about this mixtape is a sense of live performance. Rapid and loud rock hymns are combined with slow-core melody pop songs - like in a good live performance. This one from Barenaked Ladies called Pinch me.

6. Sounds like American Arctic Monkeys. Cage The Elephant - Lotus. Really enjoy it.

7. Mixed it with QotSA first, but of course, it is Them Crooked Vultures - Elephants. One of the best so-called-new bands from last year.

8. This one is really good - great melody, great text. Kings Of Leon used to write good songs. The Bucket is one of the few :)

9. Another slow and silent song with great lyrics. Sounds like Bryan Adams with a band.

10. We Are Scientists - After Hours. One the best recognised song from these guys and a very deep lyrics, appreciate it a lot!

11. WoW!!! I really loved this one! Several parts of a song, instrumental beautiful entry at first, but then it's getting more and more fast and energetic to the real punk. The best track in this mixtape by far!!! Thanks for that! I certainly must download the full album of this band.

12. Wonderwall by Oasis but in some strange cover version. This I don't get - what is an idea making cover version just having basically the same track with the same approach to the txt and music. What's the point?

13. OK. Coldplay cover performed by some female singer. This is what I like in cover versions - when the artist changes the mood of the song - this one is really great, liked it a lot. And of course, Coldplay cover is a must in mixtape like this. And Yellow was a certain highlight from Coldplay 2009 tour - those balls I will remember forever :) Thanks, man!

14. Pearl Jam - Inside Job. Great song, one of the highlight of their live performance I had a chance to visit few years ago.

15. And the last one, also awakening great memories of one of the best lives from last year. Keane - A Bad Dream. I personally prefer Bedshaped, but this one is as good.

Great job, man! Thanks a lot!

Hi everybody!

So, berrywoman, this is my tape!! So glad you reviewed it, thank you so much! And yeah, better late than never, obviously :)

First of all, that's too bad you didn't listened to the tracks in order because I tried to makes them fit together... Anyway, I know this is entirely my fault because I didn't tag the track numbers... I screwed up, I'm really sorry!!!

I tried to put all the kind of music I listen to and that influenced me during years. I'm glad you reviewed it honestly! And the mark you gave to it really pleased me!!

1) jazzy schnazzy type of tune.. Reminded me of the old tv show Taxi. But relaxing none the less. Something you’d probably play in the background at a dinner party.

So here we go, with one of my favourite jazzman, Grover Washington Jr. and the song "Come Morning", 1981.

I really love this tune, I discovered it on a vinyl I bought 2 months later, I like to listen to it to relax. And yeah, that's great for a background music :)

2) creepy yet happy sounding. Sounds like Iron & Wine.. But I could be wrong.

2), which is track 10 in my tape, is from a french band called Cocoon. It's a duet, a man and a woman. They sing in english and this song is called "Take Off". Haha I love "creepy yet happy sounding" ! They use uke in their songs which I think make them sound "happy".

3) starts off very curious. I dug the guitar progressions… over all enjoyed this tune. Nice collabo with the vocals and melody.

3) (track 11) is VCR from the excellent UK band The XX! I love them so much! My favourite album from 2009 so far! Saw them last week in Paris, they're awesome! Well, this song is one of my favourite in the album. I love Oliver's voice (especially his first sentence) and bass line on this song. In all of their songs we can say that everything just fits very well, and there's never something too much... Glad you enjoyed it!

4) ahh a piano tune……….. But in French? I have no idea what he’s on about. But he lost me once the ‘hip hop’ beat kicked in. (or at least I thought that was the effect they were going for)

Hey hey! 4) (track 12) is the most risky choice I made for this mixtape: putting a song from a french rap/hip hop band! It's a very famous band who kind of brought hip hop music in France in a popular way in the 90's. It's the band from Marseille (south of France) called "I AM". The song is called "Nos Heures De Gloire" (our glory hours but you already knew that, right :p) and explains their story and memories. It's from their fifth studio album. I chose it because it's one of their soft tracks and I really love the piano.

I completely understand you didn't get into it :)

But I'm glad I put it anyway to give this song a chance to be appreciated, I wanted to cross some frontiers I guess :)

5) not really feeling the beat on this one. Nor the vocals. The song doesn’t real do anything for me.. But, it does pick up a bit in the middle.

5) (track 13) is from Dan Black, who left The Servant to make a solo carrier. His album is an "electro-pop-rock" one and this song, "Let Go" is one of the saddest one in the album. I really like his stuff but I noticed with people around me that Dan Black's music can deeply touch or not at all... It seems you are on the second side :)

6) Sounds like Editors…. Sad tune. True though. Very true in the lyrics. Piano/guitar driven songs usually grab my heart.

6) (track 14) ... YES! You're absolutely right! Editors :) ! It's the acoustic version from "Papillon", a very electro song from the last album. I admit that I don't really like the last album, I prefer the second one, but Tom Smith's voice in this song is just outstanding! And the lyrics are so gorgeous... A sad tune though, I agree. I really love this version and I'm glad you liked it!

7) Soulful. James Morrison maybe? Kinda blues inspired. Definitely sounds like an acoustic session, always a fan of those.

7) (track 15) isn't James Morrison but Jamie Lidell, from his first album. What I really like about this man, although I don't like all of his stuff, is his capacity of being so eclectic! I used to call him "the 'black-voiced' white man" lol! This track is pretty sad, it's called "Game For Fools", and really blues inspired as you say.

8) folky. That’s all I can really say about this one. Enjoyable especially on the chorus. Sad tune as well.

8) (track 16) This another sad tune is from Amos Lee, called "Colors", from his self titled first album. I've always enjoyed this song, which i find "relaxing", and his voice is really good. Didn't enjoyed that much the album though.

9) another French tune…. I did enjoy the tune though. At least there were no weak attempts at hiphop on this one lol - nice relaxing tune. His vocals actually remind me of a French Bowie!

9) (track 17) is another french song, yes! Serge Gainsbourg, one of the most famous french singer here I think! A movie about his life has just been out. This song is called "Je Suis Venu Te Dire Que Je M'en Vais" (litterally, "I came to say I'm leaving") and was supposed to "close" my mixtape lol! It's about a break (you can hear the girl crying near the end)

Haha yeah, no weak attempt of hip hop there, it's a quiet song from 1973. I especially enjoy the guitar riff all along the song, it blows me out. He's like a reference in french music, I love your expression "French Bowie" :D

Glad you liked it, although it was in a foreign language!

10) starts off very quiet.. Creeps in and then it just mellows you out. Guitar seems to be telling the story here. Short yet it speaks volumes. Nice use of an interlude I suppose.

10) (Track 18) was supposed to be the last song, to close the mixtape. I'm glad it made a nice interlude :)

So, it's a short song from the irish and not famous at all band called The Devlins. This song is called "Metro" (you can hear the doors closing at the beginning) and is an instrumental one, from their second album. I've been really touched by this one the first time I heard it because, as you said it very well, there's no need of lyrics as the guitar tells the story. I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

11) mellow. Summery tune.

11) (track 2) is from Db Clifford, a half french half english singer. It's called "About a Girl" and is from his first studio album. A summery tune as you say and reallly relaxing, my favourite of his album. He made this first album in 2006 (but it came out in 2008 in France)

A thing that is really amazing about Db is that he made ALL this album on his own, at home. He plays piano, guitar, bass and drums. He arranged the hole thing. He's currently preparing his second one.

12) Corrine Bailey Rae!!! Love her… he vocals are so sweet and heartfelt. Pure Poetry.

12) (track 3) ... Indeed, Corinne Bailey Rae, "Call Me When You Get This", first album... I think there's nothing left to say, you resumed it all by the words "Pure Poetry" ;)

Glad you enjoyed!

13) The sax. Jazzy tune. But its not necessarily my cuppa jazz. Jamiroquai…. Meh. I either have to be in the mood for him or not..

13) (track 4) is indeed Jamiroquai, the "jazzy one", from the last album. One of my fav track on this album! I listen to him since I'm 8 and I really love how eclectic he is! But well, I agree with you cause it happens to me sometimes, you have to be on the mood to listen to his music :)

14) Starts off with heavy horns… I recognize her voice, but I can’t really place her. Sounds like Bonnie Raitt lol but I know its not…. Gotta do some research on this one. Over all I liked it.

14) (track 5) is "700 houses" from Susan Tedeschi. I first listened to it in the O.R, during a hip replacement... Great memories ^^

Anyway, I really love her voice and this mix between a modern sounding and an "old school" style (the song is from 2008). I also recommend her first album "Back To The River" :)

15) Hmm Spanish tune.. Lucky for me I understand J but to be honestly the tune doesn’t speak to me. Meh. Next…

15) (track 6) is "Eres" from Café Tacvba, a mexican band. I always loved this song (although I don't like this album) which always touches me but everytime I make my friends listen to it they don't like it

Anyway, I can easily understand that this song doesn't touch people :)

16) toe tapping tune… but again, I can’t understand French L and the second plus to the song is that its not trying to be something its not… I do like the tune despite the language barrier.. The guitar progressions and the melody.

16) (track 7) is the second risk I took in this mixtape! So glad you liked it despite the language barrier!! It's called "L'indécision" (no need to translate right here I think :p) and it's from a french singer called "Da Silva". I have to say that in France, lots of new singers sound like CRAP and Da Silva is one of the rare singers/songwriters who has his own style and is not trying to be anyone else. His tracks are most of the time sad but well, that's him :)

The song is about a break up (again :p) and basically he explains he has no regrets to leave.

I'm really, really, glad you managed to enjoyed it!

17) sexy tune. I think its enticing, and passionate. I very much like his vocals, and I see myself looking for more of his stuff.. Once I figure out who it is.. Lol So far my favorite newly discovered tune.. To whom I have no idea it belongs to!!! L diggin it.

17) (track 8) is a really sexy tune, yeah! Hugh Coltman, "On My Hands". My fav of his album! His voice is just so smooth and the guitar is so much touching! The album is great and varied too. I recommend it!

Really glad you enjoyed it and want to discover more from him!

18) here’s the closer of the cd… smooth, quiet, jazzy. Interesting lyrics, and simple. I like it.

18) (track 9), so the last one for you! From the young Brett Dennen, a great californian singer (and not English as written on the first post, mea culpa). This song, "Desert Sunrise", is from his first album (he made 3 so far) and is my favourite from all his songs. I love his guitar playing on this one, his voice, and the mix between naivety, sincerity and simplicity of the lyrics and the message of this song. His voice is also original. All of these thing make of this song a really touching one which I love! His albums are really great! I hardly recommend them!

Yeah, I have a lot of musical influences, I always try to discover new stuff or some old ones I missed!

Music means so much for me and sharing is one of the things I love the most! So, you're welcome! And I can't thank you enough for reviewing my tape, and much more this honestly! I really loved your feedback!!

I'm glad you discovered new stuff, that was my goal! Feel free to ask me anything you want about the artists, even more if you want me to send you some things, I'd be glad to :)
