My tracklist :D :

** Track 1 : A quite pleasant keyboard intro followed by a unsurprising voice which is not original. Not finding anything really noticeable here, it's not a bad song but I wouldn't say it's amazing either.

*** Track 2 : A slightly more enjoyable song. The voice is a bit more unusual which makes the song more interesting. It makes me feel like hanging in the streets of an American suburb area similar to those Juno, in autumn.

*** Track 3 : This very soft intro is "delicious". What follows reminds me of a typical Keane song, except from the voice of course. It's quite pleasant but it lacks of something more in to order to be a noticeable song.

****** Track 4 : AWESOME, Bat For Lashes! One of my new loved band since I saw them live in Paris at the Parc des Princes. The whole song conveys a bewitching energy, the voice - even if it sounds highly inspired by Bjork - is simply delicious. I kinda feel like I wanna be taken away in the wind of this musical whirl. An excellent choice which I find particularly moving.

** Track 5 : A quite alienating intro according to me, too many bells, I feel like I'm receiving many things straight in the face. Too strange, "disconcerting"

****** Track 6 : Quick and bewitching, and such a high pitch voice. This song is a complete happiness which makes you travel in a parallel world. Some will find it a bit too repetitive but I believe it's really energetic. A loved track, I adore it!

**** Track 7 : A way lower voice, more catchy, reminds me of a kind of Linkin Park song - a band I appreciate, btw. Such a voice paired with such an orchestration makes it quite surprising but I ended up liking the track. Quite cool!

*** Track 8 : I don't really like the voice in this song even if I think the instrumentation is pleasant. It makes me think about a road trip. Not really my fav of the mixtape but I definitely adored the violin passages.

**** Track 9 : Sufjan Stevens! A magical and catchy fanfare, a lovely voice, it's fresh, it's beautiful, I like it a lot!

****** Track 10 : AHHH, that's excellent! The airy guitar and this singer (let's not forget the background voices), WONDERFUL! I've not been able to stop listening to this song again and again and again since I've received my mixtape. I didn't know that band at all before, and well, I still don't know it! What a discovery, probably one of my next fav bands.

** Track 11 : A bit like the Track 9 although it's not very catchy. I didn't really like this one, sorry.

****** Track 12 : This song is a must-hear one, the guitar intro is awesome, the voice is perfect. I've had the song in my head since the first time I listened to the mixtape and I can't deny I've already shared it with some of my friends. Once again, I'll remember this one, it's awesome.

*** Track 13 : A banjo-ish intro, I guess it's one again some Sujfan Stevens. It's an interesting track but it might be too quick and strangely ''cut'' for me. The banjo paired with the guitar is very original though.

****** Track 14 : This is just a BLAST. I'm a huge fan of this song, it's powerful and catchy. The discrete xylophone notes are magical, they bring something fresh and delicate to the song which is quite ''heavy'' (I don't mean it in a bad way) overall.

All in all, this mixtape was a wonderful surprise with lotsa new stuff for me : I especially loved tracks 10 and 12. I enjoyed listening other songs even though i'm quite picky, I'm sorry about that! Thanks a lot for making me discover new things, congrats for the outro, that title was really perfect as an end.

Last but not least, I'm sorry I called ''kaka'' the person who translated my review :D Thank you kaka! My dear piece of black chocolate who loves Miller! :D JTM!

:laugh3: I would be mad too with such a nickname! Poor Camille!

^ She never wrote that, I did (except from the chocolate and Miller part) :laugh3: I thought she would delete the sentence before posting on here ahah. Anyway she DID call me kaka, isn't it a shame?

Would other people download mine? :uhoh: :shame:

Yes please :)

01 Nice electronica, loads of echo, almost incomprehensible female vocals. Awesome.

02 Electro dance kind of thing. Not really feeling the dude's vocals but the music's pretty hot.

03 Dakota by Stereophonics. Loved their first album, only really paid attention to their singles after that, though. I like this.

04 Heard bits of this on TV/radio on many occasions and always wondered what it was called. Really cool, dreamy trip-hop/electronica. Nice to hear it in its entirety!

05 Classical/ambient, strings, choir. Really nice.

06 Kinda trip hop vibe, female vocals.

07 Love the xylophone. Explodes at the chorus. Nice guitar sound at 2 mins. Wicked.

08 Embrace! They are my absolute favourite band, and Target is a TUNE. Not listened to this in ages so this was a wicked surprise. Awesome.

09 Cool sat around the campfire vibe. Big drum swings, shakers, acoustic guitar, rolling piano.

10 Funky bass, swirling backing vocals, strings, mantra repeated over and over. Epic stuff.

11 Editors? I only really know Munich and the singles from their 2nd album. This is really nice, starts off understated and grows and grows before falling back in on itself.

12 Don't know what language this is in but it's really fun. Wicked "ohh ohh yeah" backing vocals. Awesome.

13 One Day Like This by Elbow. I love this band and I love this song. Amazing.

14 Beautiful classical/ambient piano piece with strings.

15 Piano, soaked in strings and a choir. Is that Wayne Coyne singing? Not The Flaming Lips though, is it? Really beautiful.

Really nice mixtape with loads of stuff that I'd like to check out and investigate further. Thanks for taking the time to make it, much appreciated!

Would other people download mine? :uhoh: :shame:

Link meh!

You gotta listen mine too!

Yeah I had some trouble deleting some of the info >.< some of them were .mp4 files that I couldn't edit in Windows Explorer...

you didn't review tracks 2, 3, 7, 8, 9... plz don't tell me I forgot them >.< they're all some of the best on there I think phooey

Yeah well I made your mixtape, hope you enjoyed it, and I can upload the others if I FOOLishly forgot to upload them. :nice:

yeah those tracks were missing :P

I enjoyed the mix though even without those songs, but i'm now interested to hear those other 5 songs

I'm sorry for the owner of the mixtape that I'm having right now, my campus has just reduced the wireless speed last week, so I'm not able to download yours at the moment. :(

I'm still trying to download, but it always stops after downloading 50%.

I'm currently downloading, it's my 17th attempt.

You're welcome. :)

I don't know, but I think it's a good idea. But anyways, I'll be back home next Friday, butbutbutbut I still think it's too late. :(

Why did I say too many buts? :P

To whoever made my mixtape I have been unable to download from rapidshare. I tried continually last night but the page said 'Currently a lot of users are downloading files. Please try again in 2 minutes'. I tried again today and got the same problem. Could you please upload to another share site? Thanks.

I Could Have Been a Tsin Tsi" by Mew from Frengers

MOUHAAHHAAAAA I KNEW it was Mew!!!! (the 'high pitch' voice betrayed Jonas :D ) Frengers is such a great album!

Woo there were a lot of frengers who put Mew in their mix this time!! The love is spreading.... :smug:

Wow, all those mixtapes seems to be real good! And the reviews are good too :)

Can't wait to listen to them!

Haha, last night I dreamt that my mixtape had a bad review coz' it sucks XD

Hope it won't be the case (or not too much  )

Anyway, I hope this gonna be a honest review :)

@a-chan: I recognized your mixtape when I read its review because I guessed the track Failure by Operation Aloha thanks to the description :p

I remember when you told me about that project, it really made my day when I listened to it :D
