M83 - Hurry Up We're Dreaming

Ok, Ive had a few songs of theirs, but I mostly listened to "We Own The Sky". While looking at all of the Mylo Xyloto ratings, ran into several of the reviews for their latest album [double album] and most were raving reviews. I downloaded it and the album is pretty damn good! I dont often get great vibes from the first listen.

Any one else a fan? *yes I ignored the old thread made since it hasnt been touched in over a year*

I started listening to the album the other day... it was good.

I need to finish it and listen to it more but I enjoyed it.

It's a bit too long but still a great album.

Midnight City is a serious contender for Single of the Year:

I love the length! And How did I forget Midnight City?! I agree! Good shit!

heard it. didn't like it one bit.

I've always hated that 80s sound and the hipster kind of feel didn't help

Love this album. So fucking good.

Genius. Easily in my top five albums so far this year.

Also two runners for best song of the year for me!

Whats two runners?

^ Two songs of M83 in the run for making it as best song of the year for me. I really like Midnight City and Splendor. For me they are one of the best songs of the year.

Oh. Gotcha! I thought that was a song. Im slow :dozey: Ill have to listen to Splendor more

This album is basically a better version of Mylo Xyloto.

if by that you mean completely different and nothing like it then sure!

I'm only here because in Pitchfork's review of MX, they mentioned M83.

Yeah, don't see the comparison, but mmmkay. I listened to all the songs linked here, but didn't care for any of them. I'll just stick with my authentic stuff from the 80's.
