Don't worry, your kids have and he's causing chaos By Lizzie Smith Last updated at 10:29 AM on 19th March 2010 Comments (16) Add to My Stories Never heard of Justin Bieber? Well don't worry, your teenage daughter certainly will have. The 16-year-old Canadian is the latest pop sensation to cross the pond. And it's no exaggeration to say the streets of London ground to a halt as he made his way around the city yesterday. Teenage girls sobbed with hysteria as they fought to reach Bieber's car, others queued for hours behind hastily erected barriers outside Radio One and still more besieged the May Fair hotel after he twittered that he was visiting. Pleased to meet you: Justin Bieber is just 16, but is the latest pop sensation The attention was so intense that Bieber was forced to appeal for calm on Twitter. 'Girls of London... please don't bang on the windows of the car when we're moving,' he wrote. 'U can get hurt. No need for that. I got love for all of u :)' Since finding fame last year with his tracks One Time, One Less Lonely Girl, Love Me and Favorite Girl, Bieber's life has been a whirlwind. Justin mania: The teen, in the blue cap, had to squeeze past fans just to get into Radio One But he described his reception in London as 'insane'. 'Crowds and fans around London are insane. The paparazzi here follows us on motorcycles like the dudes from GI JOE....kinda wild.' When a huge crowd formed outside the May Fair hotel, the teen had to be smuggled out a back door and into a waiting car for his own safety. More... Robert Pattinson recovers from being mobbed by hundreds of screaming girls at film premiere with one drink too many 'Wish I could have come out from the performance at the Mayfair but security wouldn't let me.' he tweeted. 'For those girls who cursed me out for it I'm sorry, but sometimes I need to listen to security so no one gets hurt. But I like your attitude. The UK goes hard.' My hero: A young fan jumps into the arms of Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber outside Radio One in London after his on air interview yesterday Mayhem: After hearing Bieber on the radio hundreds of girls rushed to the London studios to meet him And when Bieber appeared on GMTV this week his name became the biggest trend on Twitter, with more than one in a 100 tweets worldwide referencing him. The son of a single mother, Beiber taught himself how to play drums, piano, guitar and trumpet. He then recorded his own versions of R & B songs by artists like Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown and Stevie Wonder, posting dozens of videos on YouTube. Within weeks he had racked up more than 10million hits, simply by word of mouth. And after his work was spotted by a record executive he was flown to the States for meetings. Justin Timberlake rushed to offer him a record deal, but after some thought he signed with Usher - at the age of just 13. We want Bieber: The teen appealed on Twitter for his fans to be careful after they risked being crushed under his car as they tried to meet him Mayhem: A wall of girls blocked the road as Bieber's car approached the MayFair hotel Bieber released his first album My World last year, which went to number four in the UK charts. In the U.S. it was the second best opening release of the year by a new artist. With his first four singles hits on both side of the Atlantic the buzz around him continued to grow. Beiber's second album, My World 2.0, is out this week, and judging by his rising popularity it seems likely to top the charts. March 19, 201016 yr Have heard of him on the internet on the 'people section' but never have heard him on the radio...
March 19, 201016 yr I'm guessing Earth? Thank you mrs. Obvious, but Coldplay didn't have this problem until recently, why him?
March 19, 201016 yr Thank you mrs. Obvious, but Coldplay didn't have this problem until recently, why him? Coldplay are ugly and play bland music that doesn't appeal to 13 year old girls. This kid looks about 12 and has a "cute" face and sings music they can dance to. Makes sense tbh.
March 19, 201016 yr He's such a f*cking loser ! How is he a "loser"? You're the one getting annoyed at him on a forum, while he makes money for doing practically nothing, he wins.
March 19, 201016 yr I find that extremely hard to believe!:stunned: Mark, leave the 14 year old girls alone please.
March 19, 201016 yr Just let go of the pop music scene guys. It's been decapitated by plastic, auto tuned people, it's time to just leave that place forever and move over to the indie music scene.
March 19, 201016 yr How is he a "loser"? You're the one getting annoyed at him on a forum, while he makes money for doing practically nothing, he wins. Yeah , it's true , I am getting annoyed ... But next year he will be totally forgotten ! and that's why !

Hi there, welcome to 2001, you took your time getting here! "<3coldplay" How does that make him a "loser"? He's winning at what he aimed to get out of life and his music career.
March 19, 201016 yr Yeah , it's true , I am getting annoyed ... But next year he will be totally forgotten ! and that's why ! Probably so just ignore him :) Everything now is just a fad. Remember the Soulja Boy? Suuppaa maan datt hoooeee!!!
March 19, 201016 yr Hi there, welcome to 2001, you took your time getting here! I'd argue the decapitation was a little later then that.
March 19, 201016 yr Let's hope so. Why? I don't see how Bieber would even come into your life at all.
March 19, 201016 yr I'd argue the decapitation was a little later then that. I meant the move to "indie", I hate that term so much.
March 19, 201016 yr I meant the move to "indie", I hate that term so much. Do you just hate it because so many people say it? What do you prefer?
