Ok... Me and my good friend ren had an awesome idea yesterday... I mean, at least we think it is awesome.

Ok, here it is:

Mirc is a very popular program, cos we can talk AND share our files there. So we thought... why don't we start a #coldplaying channel, a place where all Coldplay fans could chat in real time and ALSO share their bootlegs with others?

This is the idea.

I am already there sharing the oakdale concert, god put a smile upon your face ep, splendour on the grass 2003 concert and acoustic gig on koln concert.

also, i am sharing the Travis Glasntobury concert, cos i know many of you like travis.

Ren is sharing some Radiohead and Muse stuff, two bands taht we know that you all like. Ren will post and say what's he's sharing in a few mins, i guess

I'll also make a tutorial about how to use mirc, join the #coldplaying channel and get files there if you want.

 

And of course, I wanna know if Ian thinks this is a good idea, cos i won't use coldplaying's name without your permission, of course.

Oh yeah, forgot to say... i can't serve 24/7... but i'm on everyday from.. hmm... 8pm to 1am, brazilian time. You won't have problems to find me online, i guess.

Also, i'm making the mirc tutorial right now, and i'll post it tomorrow for sure, so none of you will be lost. :cool:

yep,its a good idea..im there sharing some muse & coldplay bootlegs... i cant share 24/7 but ill try.. im on a slow dsl connection.. but hey.. we can chat in real time..talk abou coldplay,radiohead,travis,muse,oasis,etc..ur all welcome its all good ,the more ,the better :P

i could probably be on 24/7, thanks to wonderful roadrunner high speed internet. but i have very little coldplay, or anything else most people here would be interested in, unless you want the few radiohead b-sides i don't have the singles for and a lot of ambient electronica and yo la tengo. (among other things i like but not enough to pay for)

man that would be awesome! i could provide u of tons of live vidz of cp,rh travis & muse... even bootlegs if u want.. :D

hey, you could join and be permanent op there, i guess. If you want, of course. Also, all kind of stuff that you could share would be great.

And the #coldplaying channel would also be a chat channel, so you could join just for fun too, not to share stuff.

Hey, i promised, so now i have to post:

THE-INCREDIBLE-MIRC-TUTORIAL-TO-MAKE-PEOPLE-JOIN-THE-CHANNEL !!! :D

 

First of all, go to http://www.mirc.com , download the mirc.exe file, install and run it.

Then, the first thing you have to do is connect to Efnet. It's really easy to do that. Just copy and paste this on your internet explorer:

irc://irc.desync.com/coldplaying

Whoa... hard, huh? You're in the coldplaying chan now.

In there, you might want to use some commands:

@find filename

^ searchs for the file that you wanna download

!list

^ lists all servers that are online now.

 

After you find a server that you wanna access, copy and paste the trigger that you see when you use the commands above. And Ta-da! You're inside a server now. Congratz! :cool:

 

In there, you'll need a few more commands to survive:

dir

^ lists all the files that are inside the server

cd directoryname

^ enters the selected folder

get filename.filextension

^ downloads the file that you want

 

Hmmm... That's all i guess.
