LP 5 tour?

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any guesses as to when it would start and what venues they would play?

I'm going to be in Spain from January 2011 to May 2011, and I would do anything to see them over there haha

I think that's a bit early for them to go on tour, especially as we don't even have a release date yet! Maybe a summer tour - if we're lucky!

That's what I'm hoping too - summer tour. If they come out with the album before Christmas, like Chris keeps saying, then we have a good chance of a summer tour. But didn't they say they wanted to do something different - like play smaller venues? Or am I just thinking I heard that somewhere...

I really hope Chris sticks to the smaller venue thing. Since I don't live in a huge city, it'd be jaw-dropping if they decided to play at places big bands usually go to.

It'd cause heaps of problems though. They'd have to play 4-5 shows at a smaller venue to fulfill the demands of fans...

They don't seem like a band who would play just one or two shows, to be honest.

i hope at the summer, but if they play in smaller venues.. thats means less room for people, and that means everybody is going to fight for the tickets, wich then means my chances for tickets is smaller.. ..

i will fight for it till i get one then!:wink3:

I really think the tour will be in smaller places. No more stadiums like VLV Tour.

As they're saying, they want to stay close of their fans, so I hope intimate concerts for the next tour. I remember the X&Y tour, when they come to Brazil. The 3 concerts were in small places, when the fans of VIP area were very, very close to them. I wasn't in the VIP area.

Few tickets to sale, was very difficult get one.

IF they come here...I'd hope it would be in a smaller venue. I would fight for a ticket with all my soul and strenght :P ...if it's not to expensive.

OH it would be amazing, I mean, I loved River Plate stadium concert in Buenos Aires, but the one at Gran rex theatre (for up to 3000 people) was absolutely fantastic! IT is truely different, you can actually listen to Chris breath, and the smallest glimpse you'll get of him will be of your thumb size ..

But, OMG I REALLY CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS ALBUM TO GET RELEASED..

^ i have no idea, don't think so.. ?

Smaller venues are amazing. It doesn't quite feel like your all bunched up in an area. When you have these smaller venues, everything feels more personal, like they love to have you there. I hope they come somewhere close to where I live. Like Aberdeen, NC has a really nice venue called The Poplar Knight spot. Not too big, everything just feels like your part of the show!

I can bet that, once again, Latin America will be their last place to visit :dozey:

I like the smaller venues idea :D

I still think it will be a big city, small venue type of deal. Also, by small venue, I'm sure they mean GA venues like House of Blues, etc., rather than a stadium. I can't see a Coldplay club tour being possible at this point in their career, mostly for safety reasons.

We don't even know the title of the album yet.

as much as i would love coldplay to go on tour so i can see them a part of me thinks they should wait. hmm. idk. but a summer tour would be amazing!

I am really hoping for a summertour in smaller venues. That would be more than amazing! Then it would be more intimate concerts and a bigger chance of having the time to go.

I am not too worried about not getting a ticket. You can always buy it from someone second hand. Darn expensive - sure - but it's an option that will be available if you find yourself unlucky when the tickets are released. Finger's crossed. :D
