I've put up too much love, hope and trust, and now I'm regretting myself in embarrassment.

Are you only being nice because you want someone? Something?

Nah, I'm being nice to almost everyone that I know, but this guy isn't appreciative at all. I'm not asking to be appreciated, but well you know, it's a common sense. :\

Oh Rudz, I wasn't questioning your intentions :( I was singing Thom Yorke's The Eraser.

He doesn't deserve your friendship.

I always tend to be in a position where I don't expect anything.

If it turns out to be shit, then I won't be disappointed.

:shame: :embarrassed:

Never mind.

I hope everything's gonna be fine again. I think I'm too oversensitive, I have to calm myself down a bit.

Me too :embarrassed:

Aw... Rudy, is everything ok now?

I'm going through the same thing, too. It hurts like hell when it's your bestfriend treating you like crap.

Last year my bestfriend treated me like a punching bag whenever she felt pissed off. Meaning, she'd take everything out on me, treat me like crap just cuz she was feeling crap. It happened so many times, and I just accepted it, because friends are meant to be there for each other, right? But then I realised she was never there for me when I was feeling hurt, so when it became too much to handle, I told her enough is enough, and I just walked away. I stopped talking to her for like a whole 6 months. It was hard, but I figured if she still cared about me, she'd change her way of treating me and actually come back to me when she was ready. And it worked. After 6 months, she completely changed and we haven't fought since.

This year, my other bestfriend's doing the same thing to me. Only this time, it's because he's come out of the gay closet and he thinks because I'm a straight girl, I wouldn't really get him. So he's run off with his gay friends, and it really hurts me because he just stood me up one night to go shopping with those new friends of his. He had always claimed I was his bestest friend who knew him more than he knew himself. After 8 years of friendship, we're drifting apart. It's sad, but what can you do?

I'm never embarrassed for putting too much hope, love and trust in a friendship though, Rudy. It's what good friends are supposed to do. Those who don't appreciate it are dicks, and are not worthy of your kindness. It shouldn't stop you from continuing being kind, though. At least in the end you know you've done the right thing, and while you may not be appreciated all the time, they'll know that you're the good friend, so there's nothing you should feel bad about. :)

Just hang in there Ruds and it's probably not best to talk to them when you are upset or they are upset because you end up saying things that you really don't mean, it just comes out 'cause you are angry & also don't let things build up inside either. Good luck dear!

I think so far everything's back to normality. Hopefully this is permanent.

This is exactly what I'm thinking right now. Thanks Aisya.
