A thread for Old Friends in a Telescope Lens Happy Bday Ren and Lore

Featured Replies

So it's almost the birthday of two of my most wonderful friends Lore and Ren who were the bestest Mods ever. They are taking with a bit of a Sabatical right now but I just wanted to start a thread to take the time to remeber friends who are not here right now but wanted to show the love. Friends are FOREVER no matter how far we are away from them. There is no distance one can measure with friendship. you can be friends with someone around the corner but be no closer with someone that might be on the other side of the world. Thank you Ian and Jen for bringing us all together. Without Coldplaying.com I would have never met any of you. Many thanks

So happy FANFUCKINGTASTIC birhtday Lore and Ren I love you!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever been betrayed by other people?

  • Author

yes, many times , but you have to move on and do the right thing and be the better person, karma is my motto as many peeps here know

Good thinking, but I can't follow the logic of you valuing your true friendships that highly when you haven't met Ren and Lore in person?

ok here is a scenario, true story, two peeps who grew up way before all of us were pen pals for 20 years which started in WWII finally met at a train station, one of the peeps had a friend come with them and said how will you know who she is when she gets off the train you have never seen her?, and the other person says I will know, and when they saw each other they knew, now i have not known lore or ren for 20 years but and of course i know what they look like but when you have to describe your life to someone in writting as here in the forum, it has to be more than descriptive, and writting is such a great form of expression, this forum allows us to converse and then if you choose to carry on a relationship with some one there are so many communication outlets nowadays, twitter, email, skype, and my most favorite the postcards, they have been there for me and I for them for many occasions when we needed each other with problems, happy times etc. believe me you its tough juggling it all with all the crap going on in your real life but i truly appreciate the friends i have made through this( and my only forum)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO REN AND LOREEEEEEEEEEEEE

I agree. You can never truly "know" people until you've actually met them in real life, and only then if you've done so with "a clean slate"/open mind. Ren actually said something along these lines himself once upon a time.;)

I haven't met them in person either, that doesn't mean that they haven't been true friends to me.

They're friends I haven't had the luck to meet in person yet, that doesn't make them any less true.

WTF?
