If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria e) to i) apply in the order given • (e) superior goal difference in all the group matches • (f) higher number of goals scored in all the group matches • (g) if the two teams have played each other in the final group game, the team to progress would be decided on penalties. Otherwise it comes down to the Uefa national team coefficient ranking system • (h) fair play conduct of the teams (final tournament) • (i) drawing of lots.
June 15, 201214 yr Basically if both England and France win their final group games, England need to win by 1 more goal than France do in their game to top the group, equalling the goal difference but going top on goals scored (by virtue of their 4 goals so far against France's 3 - rule c above). Assuming of course that France don't score more goals than England but win by 1 goal less in their match. Got it?

June 15, 201214 yr Some advertisement for Glen Johnson. 10 yards behind keeping 3 swedes onside, then deflects the ball towards goal, and then fails to clear it off the line. Bit unfair. Was in the wrong place at the wrong time and was unlucky to stop it from going in. Hodgson's teams aren't well rehearsed in playing the offside rule and the ball came back into the box after the free kick failed meaning any offside trap that was in place from a free kick was instantly broken and disrupted once movement was made when it came back out to Ibrahimovic. Besides there was a gulf of space on the left hand side of the penalty area when the ball did come back in which should have been occupied by Ashley Cole but he was too far ahead of the action. Don't think you can blame anyone for the goal but for a collective failure from England's part.

But it is a bit silly considering navy blue is after all Scotland's colours! That said - I think the all white strip looks ghastly. Like a P.E kit. Terrible. What happened to the navy shorts?
