It'scoming up! Who's dressing up/going trick-or-treating? :sneaky:

We don't do that here, but they've been selling halloween pumpkins etc for years, prolly coz the Halloween movies etc are so popular. :smug:

We have St Martin's Eve though. It's almost the same thing, the children sing and then they get sweets, no "trick or treat" though, if someone opens the door they'll definitely give you sweets. :P

I think I'm gonna dress up as a princess and go trick or treating :D

ive never tricked or treated in my life

parents wouldnt let me

devout catholics....they see the halowe'en that is celebrated as pagan...made me dress as a monk at a friends halowe'en birthday party...pretended I was a headless monk mwhahah

sad thing tho, in todays society, it takes a very irresponsible parent to let their child roam the streets at night knocking on strangers doors begging...just asking for trouble.

omg @ headless monk

The last thing is true, we do the St. Martin's singing with parents or older siblings here.

im not trick or treating but im dressing up like my hero edward scissorhands :D

awwwww cool :)

Yeah my parents always went trick or treating with me because they were too nervous to let me go with friends.

I remember something, about that St. Martin's Eve here I mean.

There used to be that Milky Way advert claiming the milky way bar can swim, I think a lil boy put it in a bowl of milk in the advert. So I decided to do the same and let my milky ways, snickers, mars etc swim.

I don't remember it that well, but snickers etc did definitely NOT swim, maybe the milky way bars did...

well im gonna be working at a festival that night so no trick or treating for me.

I love Hallowe'en - all those traditional fun things to do, like writing the name of the one you love on a piece of paper and hanging it out the window on Hallowe'en - your true love is supposed to come along and snatch it away while you sleep ..... :o

I tried it when I was 14, and that night the gales came it got smashed to bits on the pebbledash, and remnants were still hanging to the end of the string in the morning. Very disappointing, when I'd gone to sleep with visions of my gallant gorgeous true love flying by gallantly and snatching my note to his heart as he flew.

Taking risks and facing reality is a cruel way to grow up. :(

oh yeah don't remind me... :/

Yeah my parents always went trick or treating with me because they were too nervous to let me go with friends.

yeah i know what you mean. but i'm not sure if any parents are coming with me this year. the last few years when i went with my friends and we wanted to talk but not with my dad around us so he followed us in his car. and he also walked along the oppisite side of the street when he wanted to go out. yeah i know that's mean but i wanted to spend the time with my friends.

i can't wait to trick-or-treating! :D i still have no idea what i'm going to be...then i might be going to a sleepover at my friends house and tell ghost stories and have a small party. :D
