iTunes 10

Featured Replies

iTunes is useless here unless you have an iPhone because we can only buy apps:angry: it's about time they let us buy music.

yeah same here, we can buy only apps :(

I don't buy things from iTunes I only download podcasts sometimes and I want to try the Ping thing so I change the location to usa or UK

i haven't downloaded it yet, but itunes 9 is awful the whole itunes store is annoying to navigate

What about 10.0.3? :cheesy:

I'm not gonna update though. Version 10 doesn't really seem all that great so it's just going to be a waste of space. And I already really disliked 9 but oh well.. :shame:

yeah same here. itunes 9 is decent although it does have several irritating qualities still head and shoulders above version 10.

im hoping they create a new build very soon with the changes i (and many many other users) want because i really do want to upgrade it.

Hmm... I've been putting off updating because I'm lazy and don't want to wait for it. Any specific reason I should update/avoid it?

The only real reason to upgrade is only if you have the tomtom nano or a new generation of the ipods

  • 2 weeks later...

So I updated to iTunes 10, how do you remove the link to "Ping" from the left hand column?

I don't think you can, Dave. I've looked everywhere for that option, and there doesn't seem to be one. :\

I've never updated my iTunes.

I have no idea what version I have.

You can find out by going under the Help tab, then selecting "About iTunes."

Oh, and BTW, Anette, I love your sig. Regina!

Eh. The new Nano kinda looks like a TomTom. :blank:

The new Touch looks really nice though. :cheesy:

This. haha

yeah you can, go to the itunes store, try to get a free app and you can select "none" in the credit card option

Damn, I didn't know that! It really bothered me to give my credit card number when I made an account so I definitely wouldn't have if I had known there was a way not to. I guess it's too late now :disappointed:.

About Itunes 10, I really don't get why people are complaining about it so much. It's pretty much the same as before.

I didn't like the "album per artist" thing on the left but you can turn it off so I really don't see what's so new and annoying about iTunes 10 . And the logo looks ok to me but anyway who cares really?!

It's just that the other logo they had looked a lot slicker and less cartoonish, IMO.

My itunes keeps asking me to update but I'm afraid I'll hate it. Itunes 9 is bad enough.

That is what made me upgrade.

It takes roughly an hour for my library to be "updated" when you first launch a new install of iTunes :(

  • 7 months later...

Hate the new update.

Why do they keep making it whiter and uglier D:

I don't bother updating iTunes after I've downloaded a new version. They're just 90MB files designed to fix bugs that I have no intention of worrying about.

Or to add on stuff to make new versions of iPods/iPhones or iPads work

l can always install back my iTunes 9 whenever I want to :smug:

easier said than done.

My 'Pod seems to work fine without a constant onslaught of updates :P
