I think I'll end up buying the iPod Touch since mine is almost dying and I'm about to run out of space for more music :disappointed:

The nano is pretty nice too. It all depends on how much money I can spend.

Which Touch do you have?

I own the 3G and won't buy the new one just beacause it has a camera (O.K. 2 cameras:-) ).

Sure, the display is also better now and the hardware has been tuned.

I'm the nano guy:-)

I will grab one next week in green with 16GB :-)

anyone upgrade to itunes 10?

it is a fucking joke. the album art can be no larger than your fingernail. and the window a stupid murky grey colour. cannot believe how badly apple have failed here.

Crazy fool!

Never upgrade to the new iTunes software until at least the 2nd version of it gets released :P

how big is it nowadays?

Yes, I am. ^^ Actually I don't know if I use Snow Leopard but I think so... BTW do you know where I could find it out ?

I don't really understand why you're saying this about the album artworks, it hasn't changed for me since iTunes 9. I'm still using the CoverFlow view and it's fine

i would love to use the cover flow option but if i do i lose the column browser option which i use to navigate between artists.

personally i think apple have changed the functionality of the album artwork feature to accomodate for a majority of their users who dont have full albums, rather they just have 1 or 2 tracks (hits) from each. with massive artwork it just looks silly if you only have 2 tracks connected to it.

as much as i love apple, i cant help but feel that they've contributed greatly to the death of the album over the last decade.

I've got an iPhone, so I'm not planning to buy an iPod... But I can't wait to get iOS 4.1.

I think iTunes 10 is cool. The logo was a bit weird but I already got used to it

agreed. i was getting REALLY sick of the old iTunes, im glad it's been given a facelift. the new UI is nice as well, i like being able to control the music via the album art widget. nice feature.

im also excited for 4.1 this week for my iPhone. and i recently won an iPad, so im excited for 4.2 to come out in November!:D

Death of the album, yeah, I agree, but not death of the artist. The CDs IMO were meant to disappear for something better. After all, it was just a small vinyl. I agree that there are some negative points accompanying that extinction, but I think the way we listen to music today with iTunes, iPods or stuff like this is definitely better.

To be honest, I'm the kind of guy who also has only 1 or 2 tracks per album ! -Except of course for Coldplay and some other ones - But, still, I don't want iTunes to show me only the recurrent artworks that I have. I want them all.

And I don't feel "ridiculous" at all, you know, I love my music library. When I don't like tracks on an album, I just don't see the point of wasting time and especially space by keeping them.
