November 4, 201015 yr I grew up listening to Nas and Wu-Tang Clan[/color] who had way more hardcore songs than 99 Problems. His music is far less "hood" than it used to be. Wow. You could be my hubby's best friend! :awesome: Any parent who lets there child listen to songs with that kind of message is a bad parent IMO. Wow. My hubby would be offended that anyone would say he has bad parents. :|
November 4, 201015 yr My kids are 18 and 15, and they have been listening to every catagory of music since they were toddlers. Eminem was high on their list years ago, and then GreenDay, their music had tons of cursing in them, I never told them they couldn't listen to the unrated ones, because I said, Music is like Art, and it was part of the story of the songs, and they are just words. I made sure tho, they understood, the difference of singing those words in the song and using that language in public for everyday use. I am not a bad parent for exposing my kids growing up to this type of music, hell they liked the beat, they didn't know it was cussing until they hit middle school.

November 4, 201015 yr Wow. You could be my hubby's best friend! :awesome: He clearly has impeccable taste in music. lol. My kids are 18 and 15, and they have been listening to every catagory of music since they were toddlers. I wouldn't have dared to curse infront of my parents or older siblings just because I heard it in some rap song. Because I was taught better than that.
November 4, 201015 yr You're all dicks. Lay off. He's four. Also Mark is tres dick. We get that you don't like Lady GaGa. Nobody cares. Also, Jay-Z -> bad parenting? Please enlighten me to this logic system. edit: I am not calling all of you dicks. Perhaps I should not have said "You're all dicks" because that is not what I meant. Only the dicky ones are dicks. Non-dicks fall well within the non-dick category and are free to go.
November 4, 201015 yr +11111111111111111111111111111111111111111 they can introduce their kids to something less violent then jay z:\ i loved queen and pink floyd when i was 5 or 6:thinking: its not that im judging his taste in music im judging the content of the music his MOTHER ALLOWS HIM to listen to of coarse im not judging the 4 year olds taste in music (notice Ive said nothing about him not liking his dads music) that is an absurd accusation. As much as I agree with you about the parental advisory, I have to disagree. Someone else mentioned that children don't really get the messages in music, whether it be sex or violence like you mentioned. At that age, they like songs because of the feel of them or a catchy beat, and rarely understand what the song is actually about. That being said, I still wouldn't let my child listen to Jay-Z that young. :| I can understand that they may not get it at THAT AGE ...but what of when he gets older grows up listening to it and then understands and looks up to the message in that music that he'd been introduced to by an important figure in someones life.
November 4, 201015 yr Well, I don't suppose every kid who has musicians as parents would like the music their parents write. Besides, he's 4 years old, his taste will most probably change as he grows up. and in rap ...usually it is sex, greed, drugs and violence Omg, imagine Moses rapping about sex and drugs at his age. :freak: Perhaps it's not wrong, because he doesn't know what he's singing about, but it does give off the wrong impression for an outsider (upon meeting Moses for the first time) listening to a 4 year old who raps that. Well at least he's not into Gargoyle! What the heck, Mark? :dozey: You promote your hatred for her way too much. You're all dicks. Lay off. He's four. Also Mark is tres dick. November 4, 201015 yr This is just about Gwyneth being a "bad" mother. Notice Moses lives with mom and dad, but dad is exempt, naturally. For all we know Moses listens to whatever music that comes to his head or came on the radio once or twice, and no sooner than he learned something new, he moves on to next thing, as all kids tend to do. LOL at the "kids are not getting a musical education". They attend a school with a heavy focus on music, and Chris brought Apple a violin in Nashville not too long ago. They are probably surrounded by more instruments than they care to. Moses will be just fine. Music = art and the content of which is sometimes based on life experiences. He doesn't understand the meaning of the lyrics, then mom and dad will explain and also give guidance on how to avoid the dangers of x y and z. People parent their children as they see fit.

November 4, 201015 yr Not that it really matters but that article never says Moses doesn't like his father's music, only that at home he's not humming or singing it at the moment. I'd also like to point out what Gwyneth said on Ellen about Moses not getting the lyrics to Viva La Vida right. If the kid can't decipher the words that his own father sings in a song, I'm gonna guess that understanding Jay Z rapping or anyone else rapping would be even more difficult to decipher. They aren't bad parents, for goodness sake.

November 10, 201015 yr Wow. I can't believe everyone made a big deal about this. Next time we'll have a heated discussion about Gwyneth buying Moses a Happy Meal instead of an apple. OMG SHE'S NOT TEACHING HER CHILD GOOD EATING HABITS!!! :P
