That's just stupid. :blank:

Since 6th grade? I didn't even know any swear words until I got to high school, let alone actually use them. Is that normal? :anxious:

Yeah, I do, too. Sometimes when my dad pulls one of his douche acts, I can't help but go to my room and swear up a storm. I end up feeling better afterwards. I guess it's because it's an emotional release for me.

Yeah, I know a person like that. Her swearing is pretty darn bad. Practically every other word that comes out of her mouth is a swear word. :/

Yeah, but you didn't live in New Jersey. :P

Not that that really matters. Anyway, that's only because people in my class used them, I wasn't really exposed to them in any other way. . .

And I only knew shit and crap in 6th grade, not the worse words. :P

Yeah, me too.

A couple of my friends are like that. Instead of telling me they fell down the stairs, they'll say "So, I was like, fuck that shit, and then I fucking fell down the fucking stairs and landed on my fucking ass."

That annoys me to no end. :|

Oh yeah, right. That makes more sense.

Ohhhhh, OK.

Dude, I get what you mean. It makes me want to tell people, "Um, grow up and learn to use a bigger vocabulary."

I once had a teacher that told me that people who curse nonstop only do that because they don't have much of a vocabulary.

My friend and I got swore at by a 9 year old today. :|

I do curse, but not extreme words. Unless I'm really upset or pissed off.

Small kids cursing is just :wtf:

I've grown up hearing my dad swear a lot when he got annoyed by something

It has gotten me into trouble once when I was little because I Didn't understand that it was a swear word but kids are getting even younger at swearing and smoking

I once heard a 3 year old little boy swearing, he was saying to his brother "give me my fucking car back asshole!!!!" :stunned:

Yeah, we only said excuse me to this kid as he was blocking the path and he went "Fuck off, ******s"

Alos, my Geography teacher swears, it's quite amusing because he don't realise he's saying it.

^^ WHAAAAA? D:

That is not OK.

Um, wow. :stunned:

None of my friends know that word.

One of my old teachers used to swear, not too bad, though.

^ I think that's because that word is more of a European thing.

i swear a lot but not too much.

I don't have a problem with it, it's just a way of expressing oneself.

^ I think that's because that word is more of a European thing.

Exactly.

When I joined Coldplaying and I saw someone post that word, I actually had to use urbandictionary.com to look it up. :P

Actually, I hear tw@t quite often.

Oh, I don't.

I've never heard someone here say wanke.r though.

I hear them both all the time. But that's because as you've said, It's a European thing.

I don't tend to swear that much unless I'm angry about something, then I'm like Ari Gold in therapy:laugh3:.

what's worse is when they substitute words like "fudge" and "frick" for fuck

LOL, "fudge" as a swear word always reminds me of this clip from Supernatural. :laugh3:

You can be supa irish and say feck

I swear, it's small but of a bad habit but I try to be careful to not use it around certain people.

Oh and I wouldn't mind at all if someone was to ask me to not swear around them, even on here.

Oh and my parents don't mind at all, once it's not used all the time or insultingly.

profanity in english is just to use swear words?

i thought it was something a lot worst....

Well yes it's OK, but only in certain situations- but not necessarily extreme situations (The poll was a bit retarded). In places of work obviously, or when you've just met people you don't know it's kinda inappropriate, or un-necessary, like why is this person saying fuck so much is he trying to be cool?

But yes you quickly gauge people's reactions to whether it's ok to swear around them, I swear casually and now this thread has got me thinking that my attitude to swearing is so relaxed that I'm trying to think of people I know and whether or not they swear, they all probably do and I don't even notice. It's just not a big deal whatsoever.

Spieler's argument about using 'Crap' instead of 'Shit' is kinda weird to me because you can equally use either one, why not use 'Shit' instead of 'Crap' if you just prefer it? Makes no difference to me.
