"Grace" is a masterful album - there is no filler on it.

i discovered 'sketches for my sweetheart the drunk" a little while ago. It has some of the songs he was working on before he died. It's not like Grace because it's unfinished but some of the songs on it are on par with songs on Grace.

I love through the yard of blonde girls on "sketches..."

I need to build on this collection.. :wink3:

I listened to Sin-e Lover You Should have come over - over and over again. Its an awesome version. And i love the Miles Davis thing he does hehe.

 

My plan was to make a list of my favourites from each album, but ah, i can decide :dozey:

I just discovered Jeff Buckley's music last year. I absolutely love: lover, you should have come over and everybody here wants you. He has such a beautiful voice. Last month on the radio, they replayed a live concert he did in Sydney in 1995. I managed to record most of it, except the tape ran out halfway through lover, (which was the 2nd to last song of the concert) and so the 1st half of the song is on one side, and the last half is on the other :embarrased:

I have a live version of this song off of live at Sin-e... its wonderful!! one of my favorites as well.... and I recently got into him! ;)

 

That version is beautiful. I love the different lyrics:

As for my favourite song, 'What Will You Say?' is amazing, but the casual fan won't have heard it. I urge people to go and listen to it. His vocal is out of this world.

^ those are often my favourite songs to listen too which aren't from the Grace album.

Sometimes i listen to him playing te guitar, and find it amazing he's just playing in standard tuning or just drop d...he's chord knowledge is pretty unique, i don't know many famous guitarists that use all the chords and inversions he does. he makes me want to learn more about music...and i love finding that in people!!

I've heard nightmares by the sea and witches rave, they're both on the 'sketches..' CD.

I recently purchased the Live in Chicago dvd. It's not bad.

I love that dvd! His drummer cracks me up! :lol:

I can't stop watching that dvd!!! its such a damn shame.... :embarrased: :cry:

Check out the drummer and his serious face...It might just be funny to me though :lol: :rolleyes:

 

I love the way he talks to the crowd in a kinda personal tone :)
