This forum should be called "All Hail Jeff Buckley"

no no, it's the all hail Radiohead forum.

Jeff Buckley's good. Not my kind of music though. Last Goodbye is a good one.

For some reason, they're alright if you ask me, but I don't particularly like his more rocky songs..

Anymore suggestions for more mellow/slow Jeff Buckley songs? I love the ones I've heard so far. (lover you should've come over, so real, mojo pin, lilac wine, everybody here wants you, hallelujah, etc)

I like Grace, but for some reason, the few more rocky songs by him I've heard, I don't particularly care for..

Hmm..well one of my favourites that no one else seems to recommend is Morning Theft, and thats pretty mellow. :smug:

My sister is there right now. :) Me= jealous.

Happy Birthday Jeff. What a shame. He was incredible.

I miss his music. :/

*puts on Grace*

I've been listening to this album a lot lately. :(

I see the rain fall upon the funeral mourners

I couldn't go to the Toronto thang... I am at work. :(

I had to make a website at school so I made it on him. :)

But then I accidently did something stupid and deleted half of it. :stunned:

woo. so many tears  let's cheer up.. :)

I think on the other side, he encourages me a lot in life other than despires --- hard to explain...bitter/sweet stuff always...

I bought myself *95'Chicago Live DVD* for second on Wed, the first one was given to my best musician friend as a gift. That's the first thing through which I knew Jeff in my country... :)

Egg: I do play Grace the whole day...

deargirl: it is from his website, I think it might be some diaries/letter..which makes me think Jeff is a person who are more positive in heart, at least he tries to, but the realities are hard...hard for every Loft Person....

Did a search for Rufus Wainwright and found this thread.

After reading it, I just cant leave the thread without giving my two cents.

Think of it this way, there's two types of Christians: Christians, and Churchies!

Think of it as a political scale. On the left, you have the Churchies, and on the Right, you have the Christians. Churchies are into Big-Church and Big-Government, rules, a system, etc., and Christians are more personal with their faith. More free-spirited, open-minded, accepting, and into Ideas, rather than rules that are set-in-stone.

Churchies will go to church whenever the doors are unlocked. They also hate black people and homosexuals. They disregard the fact that Jesus turned water into wine and believe that any alcohol ingestion is a sin. They have no depth, so they take the Bible literally and word-for-word, instead of as poetry with deeper meanings. Churchies are usually similar to one-another.

A Christian, on the other hand, knows they're human, and doesnt try to put up an act. These people live by the main principles that Jesus taught: love, acceptance, understanding, forgiveness. Can you find these things in a church? Unlikely.

I'm curious... IF Jeff Buckley was a Christian, how is he a bad one or undedicated if he does something humanistic? What IS a good Christian? Someone who doesnt swear or do humanistic things that everyone does? When it comes to "sinning" The only difference between Churchies and Christians is that a Christian wont hide it and a Churchie will keep it a secret and put up an act.

I doubt I'll get any replies, as I've noticed that I seem to end threads with my posts. I just had to put things into perspective.

i'm not christian or religious or anything, but i love his music.

yu know who else has an amazing voice and is awesome (and *shock* it's very christian-y)

ben harper. who cares if its religious. it's awesome. he's awesomme.

jeff buckley's awesome.:D

Who is Jeff Buckley?

Your mom! :stunned:

*And these are the ones responsible for voting in "Dubya", apparently!! In other words, extremely dangerous!!

C'mon now, no need for hard feelings, the elections over.

Next time we talk about Bush it better be the band! :D
