..and as I apparently can't deal with an old Nokia (I'm used to Ericssons) I need a new one. I can probably afford a fancy touchy one if I can renew my contract and I have to say I rather like the HTC ones. Another option would be buying a prepaid phone, but I don't really want to spend much money on something crappy. Recommendations plz?

 

(I can't get an iPhone, otherwise I'd know what to get :blank:)

You mean putting it in loads of rice that should absorb the water? I guess I could try, but it's not like I accidentally dropped it into the water for a few secs. :disappointed:

Get the Samsung Intensity, it's simple and works like a dream. :heart:

The rice trick might work. It depends on which systems aren't working and why. If there's water left inside that's shorting some things it might work once it dries out. If there's water in the screen or corrosion though, your chances aren't so good.
