Prospekt's March II?

Featured Replies

Obviously I'm not actually suggesting that it'll be called Prospekt's March II, but do you think we'll get another sort of thing, i.e. a bunch of leftover songs from the LP5 sessions that they release? I, for one, hope that they do. I think they have enough songs that it shouldn't be too much trouble to do so.

Could be! Would be a nice surprise  I'm honestly just focusing on getting the actual album now, though! :awesome:

Same... honestly, though, I have already thought 'What will LP6 be like?' Bahaha.

I don't think this is that crazy of an idea. While I expect the band might not do something like Prospekts in terms of a release, I would expect them to release subsequent material after LP5 a lot quicker than they've ever done. While Chris keeps talking about getting old, I think it's actually quite realistic to say that once they hit 40 they probably won't be quite the same. It could be a good thing, but I feel like they'll put some pressure on themselves to either do a few EPs or LP6 quickly

If he said in that one interview that they've narrowed it down to 15 songs, then I think they should just use the others as b-sides.

I'm sure they will manage to release the songs left of Lp5

Exactly what I was thinking, although granted, B-sides are dying in general and most people don't have access to them (unless they're cool like us), especially since iTunes tends to be stingy with B-sides. If Coldplay has some extras that they don't think are appropriate for the flow of the album but may be appropriate for something else, then an EP is an excellent way to put that material out.
