Right, so the grammys are putting Arcade Fire in the same echelon of Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Eminem.

How can they put Bieber at the same level as Flo and Mumford & sons?!!! :stunned:

Album of the Year is awarded to the performer and the production team of a full album.

Record of the Year is awarded to the performer and the production team of a single song.

Song of the Year is awarded to the writer(s)/composer(s) of a single song.

best alternative album usually doesnt disappoint. but surely Resistance is not the best song on the muse album.

The Suburbs – Arcade Fire

Recovery – Eminem

Need You Now – Lady Antebellum

The Fame Monster – Lady Gaga

Teenage Dream – Katy Perry

interesting choice of albums, good to see different styles there but I've just heard The Fame Monster (which is a good pop album in my opinion) and The Suburbs.

I know right. I prefer Unnatural Selection or MK Ultra though.

I know, I was a bit surprised by that. . .

But hey, Muse got 3 (did I count correctly? :uhoh2:) Grammy nominations! :awesome:

Me too. . . I've heard some songs from Teenage Dream, and trust me when I say you don't need to listen to that one.

Haven't heard anything from Recovery.

Haven't heard Need You Now, but Lady Antebellum has a pretty good sound to their band. Only heard a few songs though.

Yeah, right?! :surprised:

They picked one of the weaker songs from the album.

I was pretty surprised when Uprising wasn't nominated for Song of the Year, like wtf son?

How Kings of Leon got any nominations at all is a surprise :P Also Resistance is a good song but I agree that it's nothing on Unnatural Selection and MK Ultra

Gorillaz only have like one nomination.

if Justin Bieber wins the Best New Artist Grammy, the world as we know it has ended! :P

it disturbs me just how out of touch the grammys are. fair enough have one album like lady gaga, i'll admit shes had a significant impact. but katy perry? eminem? they should just replace the title with "Highest Selling Album of the Year"

+1

Hey, Muse got 3 nominations! :cheesy: Too bad two of them are for one of their weakest numbers, one of which faces off against Arcade Fire's "Ready to Start," which is honestly better than "Resistance."
