Coldplaying Halo CE Server

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Not sure what the interest would be in this. ReecyBoy42 and I have had the idea of organising a Halo: Combat Evolved PC server for us Coldplayers. We'll be running it from about 10:00am our local South Australian time (which is 11:30pm GMT / 6:30pm EST) to about 4:00pm (which is 5:30am GMT / 12:30am EST) tomorrow. Sorry for the ridiculous times - but some people should be able to get on, hopefully.

We'll call it something like 'Coldplayers' or something similar. We'll have a password (I'm thinking something like 'CAJM1977'). If possible, use your Coldplaying username (or a deviation of it), so all of us can identify each other easily.

So, if you wanna join up, let us know that you're interested! Or, just come on down. For any queries, PM me or ReecyBoy42.

Cheers guys :D

seems to me that's for mac users... and for linux or windows?

btw i never played that game before :|

btw you said the time but not the day(s) for the game.

Ooh, thanks! That would be great :)

I would if I had the game, lol.

I only have an ancient PS2.

See my earlier post; there's a couple of download links there.

This takes me back to when I lived with someone who was annoyingly obsessed with Halo and when there wasn't anything to do I always ended up playing that with him.

I'm just not a fan of shoot em ups, but to be fair it's definitely one of the great shoot em up games (Not as good as Killzone though).

But that's what you're into, good luck with this anyway.

How many people are participating?

Well I'll admit this wasn't much of a success. I wouldn't go so far as to say a failure, but in the end no one except Andy and I ever joined. Slightly disappointing :\

well is first time you organize it, i think it should had more promo and days ahead to install the game, i wanted to take part, but no link to linux version was given and it only gave me one day to install the game... :uhoh:

better luck next time, thanks for organizing.

oh man i haven't played that game in ages. Didn't know people still did. good fun killing everyone!!!!!

C'mon just say it was a failure. And say that you are a failure. And say that the other guy is a failure. :\

I just luls, like Ari said it was probably because this was the first time you promoted it. Or there's also a chance that it's an old game nobody plays any more.

Yeah, or the fact that not many people play computer games anymore, they mainly play Xbox, PS3, or Wii games.

You should try again on a weekend and give people more notice. :nice:

Haha I forgot about that, yeah nobody plays games on a laptop because you need one fricken good laptop to process the speeds that games are these days (Even a decent one to play older games).

Mine's an "entertainment laptop" so it's really fast and awesome. :awesome:

Showoff more like.

(I know it's just a joke but everytime I do that it takes a lil piece of my soul :disappointed:)
