Your eyesight

Featured Replies

I've had pretty much okay vision so far in my life but it's only recently I've noticed its a bit blurry when trying to read things far in the distance.

I don't think I'm at the stage where I need glasses yet though. However if it deteriorates further I guess I will need them :disappointed:

I have perfect vision and I can see things like a small letter or number from a fair distance, my friends sometimes are suprised by that :P

I got glasses 3 years ago and wore them like less than ten times. :|

I'm near-sighted and have had glasses since I was about 12. First I wore them only when I was at school or watched tv but now I have to wear them all the time. They don't really bother me but sometimes I wish I didn't have to wear them. It would be so much easier...

I'm short-sighted and I'm supposed to wear them for class when I have to read from the board, but my eyes have definitely improved since I was little, I don't wear them to school anymore even though I'm supposed to, I'll sometimes wear them when on my laptop. all my family wear them except my dad is far-sighted so it's annoying when he says look at that over there 'I Don't see it'

I had the kind of lenses that last for 2 years, they were quite expensive... then I ate one accidentally.

(It fell in my muesli and I didn't realise until afterwards)

Since then I'm back to wearing glasses and only wear 1- day- lenses for special events (like concerts :awesome:).

:stunned::lol:Anna!!

oo Bircher Muesli  but why didn't you notice while eating it?

I have a similarity to Jónsi in terms of eyesight.

I've never told anyone here about this though.

It used to take me half an hour to put my contacts in, and half an hour to take them out, haha. I didn't like having to poke myself in the eye everyday, but I got used to it.

Really, I'd love contacts if it weren't for my astigmatism. I have to sit there and turn my right contact lens around until everything's in focus, and then I blink and it goes right back out of focus D:

i've used contacts almost every day since I was 13 because my old glasses were shit and glasses make my eyes look very small.. but I got new thick framed ones now. love them.

My eyes are weird. I have really good vision, but I also have astigmatism. Until I did a sensory lab in my human biology class last fall, I didn't even know I had it. It's much worse in my right eye than my left. That lab also taught me that my depth perception is pretty darn bad.

I love my new glasses too, actually. I've always hated glasses because they never looked good on me, but these do. They're a little crooked now though because I got hit in the face with a volleyball. :(

I hadn't even worn contacts for a year until recently because I just got some new ones.

I always wear the same pair of contacts much longer than I should..

I do that a lot too

I don't know if I got that right, but they told me many years ago I am far sighted and then they said I turned near sighted......is that possible?

Near sighted people ftw! :awesome:

Although I can't say I like my glasses. :shifty:

You know Bircher Muesli?? Wow!

My ex's father made it almost every morning...

I have no idea where the lens went but that I have eaten it is the only explanation! :laugh4:

Put on the lenses while sitting at the kitchen table, my that-time-boyfriend gave me the bowl of muesli... I ate it... after finishing I looked up and realised something's not right.

I hadn't moved since putting them on and we searched EVERYWHERE for that stupid 100€ lens - nowhere found. So we concluded that it must've fallen in the bowl. :uhoh:

100€ for contacts?! :stunned:

Yes, they last 2 years though so much cheaper than yearly or monthly lenses. :)

My eyes aren't that bad, -1.25

But yeah, now I'm back to glasses and day lenses only for special events.
