News Predictions for 2011

Featured Replies

Taken from another forum ( sorry to steal but it seemed a good idea)

What do you think will happen in the world or your own country in 2011

---

Due to the constant leaks from the website wiki leaks and what could be soon renamed under a different guise, Western Governments will pass emergency laws bringing in tighter controls on what is posted on the internet, and what news stories the media can report.

China will take over the government in North Korea, as they will carry on become more instable to the far east.

There will be a vote of no confidence in the Government however they will just get it though, the votes on further benefit cuts will be a real humdinger. (UK)

More strikes / riots in certain Euro Zone countries with their respective governments declaring State of Emergency / even curfews for weeks on end.

Prince Phillip is going to die, just before the Royal Wedding and they may postpone it. (UK)

More and More questions will be asked if global warming is really happening, as we seem to be going though a trend wheras average tempuratures are now dropping, and it may even prove to be a natural phonmemen.

The Russians may get upset about something, and freten or even cut of the gas / oil supply to Europe for sometime.

countries will get more worried for security due to riots on the streets for lack of employment, raise of taxes, cuts of salary, and shorten of rights, which not many politicians will be applying to themselves, oh ironite.

some more advances will be done in science field and epidemies research, again making humanity studies look pointless today.

i prefer to not comment about spain, i'm not so hopeful of what may happen the next couple months, so imagine predict the whole year, though will be interesting if there will be any surprise in the elections next year (regional i think), thought won't surprise me that some media get forcefully shut down along the year. may be Felipe will get in charge of the state and it'll bring back the salic law debate.

sadly peace won't be in some countries yet suffering wars, famine and epidemies since more than 20 years ago, some country territories tensions won't change and may raise more international tension and words about possible wars, cause politicians will use those to their benefit.

For the UK - I feel more confident about our current government than the last one in handling the economy. But I ain't gonna raise my hopes up.

no prediction, jus asking god like a child and hope no stupid war going to begin...

Gary Coleman will die.

1. China's economy will have a crash, taking down many smaller Asian economies with it.

2. One or more countries will drop out of the Euro, putting its future in question. The EU will be criticized as Europe's economy continues to deteriorate. Portugal and Spain will both require massive bailouts.

3. The dollar will be replaced as the reserve currency of the world. Hyperinflation will hit America.

4. US unemployment will skyrocket past 20%, there will be riots.

2011 is the year the world will discover that printing more money doesn't bring prosperity. It only delays the disaster.

I think that for a period of time the economy will look like it's getting better w/ the stock market doing well, but then there will be a setback.

I think that unemployment will continue to rise.

I also think that conflicts or tensions with Iran/Isreal, and N./S. Korea will rise quite a bit to either starting a war, or being on the brink

Katie Price will get married and divorced again.

The owners of Man City will get fed up with another season trophy-less and redraw all funding leaving Man City broke with a stupidly high wages bill :P

We won't realise Michael Jackson didn't die until he's found balls-deep in Justin Bieber at P. Diddy's house.

1. so what will happen with all the copper is said they are collecting causing it cost to go up, and that people steal public facilities that contain that to sell it into ilegal market which at the end ends in China. (it's been happening for a while here and said it is China's fault). Plus all the Chinese restaurants and bazaars that are opening in Europe, don't the money they get go to China at the end, it doesn't help China's economy?

2. no surprise, but what i fear most is the political situation, money being cut, taxes raising, rights cuts, which is provoking already some few riots and much dislike to politicians in some people.

4. we have past that % already time ago and few riots came up -well just some that our lovely government cut simply letting the army out, thought that's for economy and rights mainly-. seems youngers won't get a job in the next couple years, where olders are being taken off work and on the other hand to keep the social system stuff we have politicians say to keep working more years, i wonder who will be luckies to achieve that in the next 10 years. Is US looking like that at the moment aswell?
