Under Control is quite overrated... it's my least favourite track on ROF, it's just "not Strokes", know what I mean? Yet everyone else seems to love it.

Yeah, now that I actually own real copies of both cd's (not that that matters), I definitly prefer Is This It. There's less songs on it I don't like.

really? i love new york city cops. the bass line is pretty wicked.

But yea, i'm not a fan of when it started and trying your luck.. and alone together is kind of boring in the first two minutes too. :/

but the lyrics and the hard part and solo at the end make up for it

i prefer the 1st album, Is This It...but maybe that's just coz i've heard it more...i over played it when it first came out...and i don't think i've listened to the 2nd one all the way through more than twice. although, i did expect more from the 2nd album
