Which is the better 3 piece band?

I think (and I said think, and I make emphasis on that word) that you're comparing two bands that sound incredibly different.

 

Not a fan of neither, but I'll go with...

Muse?

I haven't really listened to A-ha much, but when I compare Hunting High and Low to New Born or Citizen Erased, there's not much of a contest to me. :P

But Showbiz! On Hunting High and Low - I just absolutely love that song. I think it's so underrated from a generally underrated band. It's like what Adam Clayton said "a-ha was always a rather misunderstood band. They were looked upon as a group for teenage girls, but in reality they were a very creative band."

No, I agree. I love that song as well, but when I compare Muse and a-ha based purely on preference, Muse is more of the genre/style of music I prefer. :nice:

Never liked a-Ha, so Muse, although I'm don't really serious business like their music. Really weird comparison though honestly.

I think both bands use electronic to the best use possible where other bands haven't really. However I would have to say Morten Harket is a better singer than Matt Bellamy.

I think that a-ha is underrated. This thread will just confirm this for me .... :smug:

 

a-ha is brilliant. I bet a lot of people have heard whole albums of Muse and will compare that with the few songs of a-ha they've heard, ever.

A-ha had a few really good songs but I don't think I'd like listening through a whole of their albums. Muse I would.

Muse is great, but I grew up listening to A-Ha, and they still have one of the best videos ever made, ever.

What a weird comparison. Aside from them both being a three-piece-band I don't think they really have much more in common. :thinking:

 

I've heard some A-Ha but I listen a lot more to Muse. I think that Muse are bigger and will, ultimately, earn more and achieve more than A-Ha.

Muse fans are going to tear up this poll.

Muse is commercial as A-ha, not Mew but A-ha less as Muse . but more as Coldplay for Muse .

Bit of a strange thread, I can't really see understand the reasons for the choice. But anyway, I only like/know 2 A-Ha songs so it's Muse for me.
