I need help desperately

Featured Replies

Just recently out of nowhere I can't access frequently used sites such as facebook, twitter, pitchfork, triple j, etc, basically all the sites I access most often. Can anyone possibly know what could be causing this (virus) and maybe a way to fix it. Its not just my computer but all the computers on our home network, making me think its something to do with our Ip address or something .

Do you get a specific error message, or do the pages simply not load, etc...

What specifically happens when you try to access http://www.Facebook.com?

I take it you can access all other sites ok?

What the fuck? Something definitely sounds odd with your network/IP config then maybe.

What does downforeveryone.orjustme.com yield on those blocked sites?

I checked that site emma and its just me. I don't get an error message, they just either don't load, or take about twenty minutes to load or load but look really weird. I don't know what to do.

Can you friends access those sites with no trouble?

could be you need to refresh cache?

have you tried refresing your net router?

you sure it only happen in your home network?

have those sites change the layout or are in the process to do so?

do you have a limited download/upload broadband?

Okay, well the problem is fixed now. What I did was refresh the router (turn it off and leave it off for a while so it refreshs our Ip address) and all the sites are working again. I don't know what the problem was but its fixed now. Thanks for all the help.

are you Vanderlylic on tumblr too? because if you are, I think I unfollowed you cause I had no idea who you were D: and then you unfollowed me and and and yeah anyways.

it happened to me before and my friend, who studies computer technology, says that it's quite common (and he explained the problem to me with his words and I didn't really follow but anyways).
