Hmm... I guess I think in my accent. I actually find myself thinking in English a lot too, though! :P

If you move to England you will eventually have a few dreams in English.

I'm thinking in English a lot, but with a awesome accent. :p

Just not my accent. :shame:

I don't have an accent :charming:

So I suppose the answer is "yes", I think in my "accent" (or lack thereof).

Doesn't everyone have an accent? I seriously don't believe everyone who says they don't have an accent speak the same way.

Everyone has an accent.

Well, people from other countries from their perspective, I have an "American" accent, so I suppose I can't dispute that. But from within the States, where I'm from (most) people don't have an accent compared to other parts of the country. No "northern" (yooper, Minnesota, etc.) accent, no southern accent, no Brooklyn accent, Boston, etc. So if you watch the national news stations here, most of the news anchors have "no accent"; and a few months ago I heard one of the morning news anchors say they had to have vocal training to have "no accent". :freak: That's the best way I can describe it.

Same here! I barely think or dream in my language anymore, really straaaange :uhoh:

OMG I THINK IN ENGLISH A LOT TOO :shocked3:!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, when I think in Spanish I think in my accent (Buenos Aires) but I also think in English

do you mean language instead of accent?

when i was in Portugal it was shocking when, we, the spaniards adapted well to portuguese and at times we weren't able to say a word in spanish (as for instance: milho = maíz = corn) , instead we said it in portuguese or english, cause among Erasmus we used to talk just in english. i miss those times, that was awesome to follow 3 conversations at a time in different languages.

To answer the question, of which i still think:

Are-You-Fucking-Kidding-Me.jpg Greg, are you serious with the question?

btw that meme translated on google into spanish says 'no chingues' that made my day!

I do think in spanish when i'm speaking with spanish people -generally family and friends-, english when i'm on the net, listening to music and abroad -and now when talking to some relatives around my age to train their english-, portuguese when i'm speaking with tugas, is a shame i can't put my brain to think in french, i'm forgetting that language more and more each day.

btw my first english teacher at school told us:

you'll only know you've learnt english when you even dream in english.

so now about accents:

at times i like to impresionate the diverse accents spanish have just for fun and i have the bad habit that i can't help to not do so at times, i remember once i copycat the accent of a neigbour even when she found it bad thing .

my normal accent is southern of spain, which is mocked by the rest of the country as if we speak badly or so, cause we don't pronounce the end of plurals and at times we joint words and it sounds like a new one, and in fact our dialect have some proper words that originated that way, though that's the accent i'm used to and raised in. (mom side).

when i'm having a serious or technical conversation i use the proper pronunciation and the strictly right terms which can be too scholastic/bookish. (dad side) That''s for spanish.

When i've spoken in english people told me i have pretty clear british accent, in portuguese they say i speak like with brasilian accent mainly because of my overuse of courtesy terms, and french i can't say cause i hardly speak it now, but i think i speak like in the classic way (?), i remember my classmates at uni said i spoke badly cause i jointed differently as they are used to.

but as said on the other thread which i think is the one you are trying to mimic here, i generally think in images, feelings, memories, and that doesn't have a proper accent imo.

Nope, serious question. Do you think in your accent?

Sometimes, for example, I have been thinking and said 'erm', other times I've thought 'well that's stupid innit'.

I don't really think I have an accent so I'll go with No.

But my mom and aunt have I guess a somewhat strong New York accent, well at least compared to the rest of my family.

Everyone has an accent

I think in other people's accents... my thoughts are usually thought in a British accent, why? idk

I guess I do. With the slang too. :awesome:

I think mostly in a Yorkshire accent just as I speak but I occasionally think in Spanish which is odd because I'm not that great at speaking spanish

Yes i think in my accent but i also think a lot in english, my english accent is a horrible mix of french/middle eastern sounds!
