January 17, 200917 yr Nothin escapes you does it? Nothing escapes Lori when it comes to THE bird guitar  Also, I find it interesting that this guitar just magically became the bird guitar during the tour. None of the other guitars transformed into birds after he met me (the bird lover) like that one did.:P What? I can dream! :laugh3: Jonny likes me. :smug: :P

January 18, 200917 yr  Inspired by your name, he went back to his hotel room to paint his guitar with birds  Exactly! Only he probably made Vicky do it! But it was later b/c the first time anyone mentioned it was Ale in ... one of the Italy shows??? So who knows when it "transformed." But yeah. Jonny is a stalker and went online to this fansite, the biggest Coldplay fansite, and looked at his own thread to find me and saw my birdname and painted birds on his guitar. Yeah, just like that. Or, he could have googled himself and a whole bunch of youtube videos of him would come up, all made by me. So he found me one of either of those ways. Easy. Anyone could do it. He has reference pics since I am all over Guy's camera. It is 3:45 am and I have been staring at computer screens for 13 hours and 45 minutes straight. :dizzy2:

I know you're out there somewhere... :D

Dear lord, you're so reminding me of myself, when I'm sitting in front of my PC like the biggest nerd on earth and only get light on my skin from the monitor :smart: But of course Jonny only painted birds on his guitar (or Vicky) because of YOU! ;):D

You're the best! Haha, well, it WAS a combination of my 8 hours at work, which mostly involves looking at computer screens, then comiong home and going online. So it can make a person quite dizzy. What am I supposed to do, shut off the computer and go lay outside on the beautiful....SNOW?!?!?!? In the dark??? Yes, Jonny and birds rock!
January 20, 200917 yr Jonny needs a tricked out solo really badly He's like a virgin who needs to have sex just to let out all the tension that's built up. he needs to solo and let out all his musical angst
January 20, 200917 yr you should stop listening to radiohead nick :D ^^ what's so special about Mr. Buckland? What makes coldplay different from other bands? Jonny Buckland... he is not that kind of guitarrist that love power chords and mind blowing solos, instead his guitar riffs are mellow and atmospheric, one of my fav solos of all time is that one on a rush of blood to the head live for example, because he is another kind of guitarrist, his guitar riffs are arrangements that go with the songs, the songs are not built around lead guitars unlike other bands. A good example of this is clocks

A good example of this is clocks well I look at Jonny Greenwood (of Radiohead) Their songs are far from "built around lead guitars". The songs have a certain sound and his guitar work just brings it to a whole new level. I'd like to see Jonny do some rocking at at least once.
January 20, 200917 yr no no no... I NEVER said radiohead songs were built around guitar (excerpt my iron lung); and what do you mean by rocking? Their first two albums were sheer rock, maybe with jonny's style but it was pure brilliant guitar rock.... now back to topic, I guess I wanna see an outstanding solo by Buckland on two or three songs, but I still like him this way, guitar as atmospheric and beautiful arrangements (high speed, we never change, amsterdam, cemeteries of london and a long etc)

I really like JB's style as it is, but I just think live he should add in a few solos (ones that aren't already in the songs). He should improvise a little and just go crazy, at least a few times during their shows. He just always looks so bored. He has great guitar chops and he should show them off sometimes.
January 20, 200917 yr I agree on EVERYTHING you said up there ^^ and now I see your point :D yes, I think all of them should improvise a little live, especialy johnny, like in the a rush of blood to the head era, I think the negative stuff that Eno brought was that, if you see glastonbury 2002 or live 2003 you'll see Jonny improvises a lot (or maybe I just love too much a rush of blood to the head), he used a lot of effects and cool sounds, but Eno did not care much about them wanting to perform live, or relying too much on their musicianship
